There are various hexaphonic guitar pickups on the market. The most famous one is the GK-3 by Roland. As alternative to the GR-55 synthesizer, Guitar Rig could offer the possibility to handle a six-channel audio input and to process each input simultanously in the effect chain because some effects sound different if you process the separate strings instead of the overlay of all. This would also offer the possibility to create a software-based guitar-to-midi solution.

This would be amazing. Sending midi from my guitar over to kontakt? heck yes.
It also opens the door to guitar modeling like the variax. Acoustic sims, banjo, sitar.

    Hello,

Honestly, with all of the other "stuff" that is required to make Guitar Rig 5 more user friendly and efficient, hexaphonic guitar pickups and MIDI implementation would not be on my list of suggestions or recommendations. These additions are really nothing more that "G.A.S." anomalies!

    Just my $2.00 worth!
