Hi, any info about not working main tempo knob? Only shift + browse can do something actually.

Here's the info regarding this on my latest Patreon post:

FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS
All controllers

• ADDS a setting to make the Cue Button behave as in Pioneer CDJs/Controllers

Cue Button will behave as CUE, but if the Deck is paused and the Playmarker is in the same position as the Active Cue, it will behave as CUP (CUE Play). Also, when this setting is enabled, the CUE will blink as it does on Pioneer gear. You can enable this in Map Settings > Cue Button > Cue or Shift + Cue and then select the new CUE + CUP option.

• ADDS a setting to make the Hotcue Pads behave as in Pioneer CDJs/Controllers

When enabled, triggering a hotcue from the controller will also start playing the deck, in case it was stopped. You can enable this in Other Settings > Mods > Hotcues Play Mode and then select the Cue Play option.

• ADDS a Loop In/Out adjust mode

The Loop In/Out adjust functionality is limited to using the pads in Advanced Loop Mode to move the Loop In/Out position. NO Jogwheel/Touchstrip adjustment is possible (for now).

• UPDATES the Waveform background when a Loop is Active

This makes the Pioneer/Denon based themes even more realistic. In the future, I will try to modify how the CUEs (and Pads) look like. Let me know how this feels on the Supreme Themes, if you like it more this way or Traktor’s way.

• UPDATES the description of settings so that it scrolls if the content is too large to fit the screen.

S5/S8/D2

• ADDS a setting to choose wether to display on the browser footer the total songs of the current playlist or folder/the current time (reads it from your computer)/ key information of all 4 decks on the bottom, or to be empty if you prefer it.
• FIXES the BPM/Tempo step settings for the Browse Encoder, which “wasn’t used” (it was properly implemented but it didn’t work, no idea why. Finally, after spending lots of time reviewing what there might be wrong, I decided to implement it on a not-so-elegant way, but it works as it is expected now)

On the S5/S8, the Master BPM encoder in the middle of the mixer will also be affected by this setting.

BUGS
All Controllers
*** Mapping ***

• When Open Browser on Touch is enabled and you open the browser, many LEDs and things on the screen don't behave as expected preiodically.

*** Footer Overlay ***

• The deck's size and footer isn't updated when changing 2/4 FX Units mode or when Enabling/Disabling MIDI Controls when the inactive deck has been a Remix/Stem Deck.
• When Traktor is launched, the Footer Page is set to MIDI instead of FX or Slot properties (volume/filter/fx send, etc.) when MIDI Controls are enabled, which are the defaults/have more "priority". When MIDI controls are disabled and Bottom FX too, if the (footer) deck is a Remix or Stem Deck it will load it as "empty" instead of the default "footer page".
• Update the "Multiple Slots" footer page so that when more than a slot is selected on Stem/Remix decks on the S5/S8/D2, it displays some info about the selected slots.

*** Other things ***

• (FX Settings) The first time you switch to the effects list, this one doesn’t get updated, and instead of automatically going to the currently selected effect on the list, it will go to the top of the list.
• (Waveform) In very few occasions and randomly, the grid isn’t counting beats correctly before the first GridMarker. As a result, the bar before the gridmarker is composed of 3 beats only (the last beat isn’t counted).
• (CDJs Themes) The beat counter isn't working on the Remix Decks, the master beats are not working correctly.

S5

• Only the pitch of the first sample in Slots 1-4 can be modified through the controller.
• REC (Pattern Recorder Enable/Disable Button) might need further work/better implementation or easier access?

S4 MK3

• ADD screens for Remix Decks & Stem Decks

I’m currently working on this and providing an improved experienc in comparisson to the default one on the S4 MK3. You’ll see the results on the next version.

• ADD the original theme and create new ones

I’ve already added the setting to choose between the different options, but I still need to work on them, especially when they are not Track Decks.


FUTURE IDEAS/ATTEMPTS
*** Mapping ***

• ADD the Cue Type Selector functionality

“It is implemented, but it doesn’t work.” The issue is not with the way I have implemented it (I have tried different approaches), but with the way it works in Traktor.
If you go to the controller editor, and assign the Hotcue Type to an encoder, you’ll see that no matter how much you turn it, it doesn’t work correctly. And the property which “stores” which cue type is each of the 8 hotcues is a “read-only” property —> we can edit it, but no changes will happen.

• Loop Recorder

I’ll have to find a way to implement this on the controllers, making use of the screens to with a popup or similar... on the S4 MK3 I’ve thought about using the MixerFX buttons to do it, but I still have to think how to approach these on the other controllers

• Improve the Vinyl Break function

*** Mods ***

• Add an Edit Mode Setting to select what you view when Edit Mode is enabled: The Current Bar / The First Bar after the corresponding GridMarker.
• Add a MOD to auto load/enable the Loop Active when the first hotcue of a loaded track is a Loop.
• Add a setting to autosort the browser (so that you don’t have to change sorting everytime you open a new playlist/folder).

*** Display ***

• On Stem Decks, add the semicircle indicators as in Traktor Pro + setting to switch between this + Stem Name being expanded or not.
• Enable the option to hide the Footer, so that it behaves as the Header FX overlay 8fully visible when knobs/buttons touched, but hidden otherwise if it is a FX page)

*** Themes ***

• (CDJs Themes) Customize the Browser so that it looks as much as possible to the browser found on such controllers.
• (Prime Theme) Customize the Browser so that it looks as much as possible to the browser of the Prime controllers.

 

No, unfortunately, this is not possible currently... it has been explained many times, adding more "info" on the Browser is a recurrent question but not possible so far

Keep up the great work! Just searched the thread for how and if I can make the footer hide when not used, seeing that that’s actually one of the things you’re trying to implement . Looking forward to this. Never used the performance panel till lately. Now that I do, the UI somewhat looks a little cluttered and gimmicky with this and the footer beneath.

i have solved copying mixer.qml file about version 27 (in version 27 worked )

 

hi! i would change my kontrol s8 with kontrol s4 mk3....for this, Aleix or who have s4 mk3 and use Supreme mod, can make photo about s4 mk3 screen? deck state or browser state thanks....

i have this question: if i would change some mapping buttons or knobs about script in files inside CSI folder...where i know list about traktor functions? for example deck play is “.play’, flux mode is “.flux” ecc, ecc, is there a list? i would change in my kontrol S8 the function buttons 6-7 in browser mode, no “list prepare” and “prep+”, but
button 6: cruise mode
button 7: browser list delete (in traktor pro software open window for delete a track from only collection o delete from pc)

This is a temporary fix, but then the "customized" step isn't applied when adjusting the master bpm with the mixer encoder

I obtainned all this info (and other) digging on the exectuable file of Traktor Pro

 

It’s as simple as pressing an empty pad when the controller screen has the browser openned
