Hallo Viper, ich würde mich gerne mit dir über erweiterte Midi Mapping,s für den Traktor Kontrol S 8 verständigen, ich hoffe du findest die Zeit um mögliche Hilfe anbieten zu können, das Ziel soll sein das der S8 Kontroler die Performance Buttens als Midi Out sendet und durch LoopBi1 dann an Resolume Arena weiterleitet ohne in den sogenannte Midi Mod umschlaten zu müssen, ich hoffe das diese Funktion überhaubt geht und wir zusammen eine Lösung ermöglichen können.

Couple of questions, though (and sorry if this one falls into the category of already asked many many times... but...), is there a way to change the fields shown on the browser details? Like being able to display the tracks' comments field?

And how could I change the Fx assigned to pads on the Fx mode?

Proper beatgrid edit on S8 still not working. Waveform dissapears and when it doesn't, it lags so much that it makes the function pretty much useless.
S8@latest firmware, Traktor 3.4.2, Catalina 10.15.7, SupremeMod 3.0 Beta 28.1.

 

Yes, it's not as simple as openning, sorry! When you open an eecutable file there will be plenty of unknown characters, but after executing some regex substitutions you finally get a "kind of" readable document.... which is where I found the following commands. Find them attached in this response in case you are interested on them.About your second question... not sure I understood it correctly... could you provide me more detailed info about the issue and what would you like/how would you expect it to behave?

This has been explainned multiple times already... Anyway, here's the answer one more time.
Short answer: No
Long answer: The information provided from Traktor to the S5/S8/D2 and even the S4 MK3 controllers regarding browser information is set by a C++ class/internal function to which I don't have access in QML. This function only provides information about Title, Artist, BPM, Key, etc... Only the already visible information (also the played state, loaded in the preview player, etc.). Therefore, there is no way I can force the comment / comment2 / genre / release date (or year) / remixer / mix / etc. on the controller Browser FOR NOW. If for whatever reason this changes in the future, don't worry that I'll add this to the mod 100% granted.

About your second question... to modify the Performance Pads settings you need to open the Preferences.qml file located in qml/Preferences folder with your OS default code editor (Notepad on Windows / TextEdit on macOS) or with a propper code editor (Notepad++ / Microsoft Visual Studio, etc.) and modify the parameters to your liking.

 

Not me, I only own the S8, but I can assure you that they work great, especially when paired with the S5/S8 (thanks to this mod, you can control the 4 FX with the dedicated FX knobs and buttons of your D2s + S5/S8)

hi...ok i explain better: when i’m in remix mode, if i press another time remix mode i enter in “legacy remix mode”, right? in legacy remix mode i can set the “filter” with filter knob...but i would delete “filter” command...and put “gain” command about each cell...in Joe Easton mod, he can set gain about each cell, could you write the script changes in CSI file for obtain this? thanks a lot!!

 

recently installed the latest mod and noticed that the volume of the second slot does not work in the remix deck C! is this the case for everyone?

Is there any way to modify the autoloop function to have a 64 beats?

Ie; Rather than a maximum of 32 beats, I want to be able to on the fly, loop entire phrases, so 64 beats, 128 beats, etc.

Hi Aliex, i like your mod but i still want to use SHIFT+LOOP scroll to rapidy go through tracks at the defined number of bars in the loop. Can this be toggled?

(i used to use SHIFT+LOOP scroll at its defined loop size)

Or how to disable the SHIFT+LOOP scroll from moving by 1 bar.
