Surface Pro 4 i5 with Traktor Pro 3

I am currently using the following,
A&H PX5
A&H X2
2 x Technics 1210
TP3 Timecode
MacBook pro

I only use my MacBook for storing music in Traktor Pro 3 and am trying to streamline my setup, i dislike having the laptop with keyboard and would prefer something that i can just see traktor pro screen and scroll though with my x2 picking out tracks.

I have seen a surface pro 4 i5 4gb ram for sale and thought it might be great if i just use it for this purpose only, any thoughts?

I've always wished for a touchscreen on a mac so I could do what you're describing. The 4GB sounds a bit low for Windows running Traktor, and if you're using timecode I think you'd feel that latency. Since Surface RAM is soldered to the board and can't be upgraded, I'd recommend looking for 8GB or more to start with.

 

Thanks for the reply, the thing is i only want it to store the tracks and then browse through with A&H X2, i dont need any fancy functions as the X2 will take care of most things i need. I dont even need a touch screen, im just sick of having a laptop on a stand in front of me with a big keyboard attached.

 

Sounds like you're set on getting this deal so go for it. You're JUST meeting minimum system requirements for RAM so have at it.
