You are not quite correct and you contradict yourself in the second paragraph. You are correct when you say "Quantize on the other hand used while playing." It does not affect when the track STARTS playing if it was not already playing. Snap on the other hand will affect when playback starts.

Lets try and get back on track here.

Map this function to another key and you have the answer to the original question.

none of the NHL commands can be deleted, not just the sync button.

If I understand what you are trying to do correctly the following should help you:

    - Open your Preferences Window and select "Controller Manager".
    - Make sure your Device is selected (near the top of the window).
    - Under the "Assignment Table" find the control names "Sync On" and click on it.
    - Under the "Mapping Details" change the "Interaction Mode" from Toggle to Hold

You may have to do this for each deck depending on your controller midi mappings.

Once you have done this, you can hit the Sync button and the only thing that will happen is the bpm will match the playing deck, and the sync button will not remain on.

Just for the record LalonS's solution will not work in all instances. Using his method is the same as turning sync on and off straight away. When the track is not playing the BPM will not stay matched to the playing track.

I have already given the correct solution 3 times but since no-one wants to even acknowledge that I have made any posts I am closing this thread.

    You have your solution.
