Sync function dead on 1.2.2 (Solved)

I'm new on traktor and this forum, i hope somebody can help me...

I can't activate SYNC function since my traktor pro 1.2.2 upgrade

here is the situation :

Master Clock : AUTO

Deck A : MASTER

Deck B : SYNC fonction impossible to activate, when i click buton, it changes bmp on Deck B to the same that Deck A but it doesn't keep Deck B synchronized to Deck A (master) like it was on the demo. The SYNC buton doesn't illumates and phase meter slowly desynchronises from center...

The two track on deck A and B have a close oiginal bpm (125 and 126)

I tryed to analyse and detect bpm (async) differents tracks numerous times but nothing better... It is the same with any tracks.

All my tracks have a bmp in the detection range configured in preferences.

I tryed to delete my collection libraries and let traktor recreate it but nothing more...

It worked fine on 1.2.2 demo, so i purchased full version, but it doesn't work at all since my update...

My traktor pro is an upgrade from traktor le delivered with my brand new vestax tr-1.

Is there any known sync bug with mac osx 1.6.2 and Traktor Pro 1.2.2 ?

I'm waiting for NI support anwer...

Solved

After trying several things, i discovered that the problem was around my mp3 files.

Looking closer to files, i discovered that acces was restricted to administrator for writting, and read only for all others users.

i changed acces attributes to let all users have access read/write to these mp3 and... BINGO !

All files were able to be sync together by traktor !

So be carefull, MAC/LINUX users, traktor doesn't have administrator acces to your sound files.

To let the Traktor program work like it does, give it full acces to the track files you want to play with...

I hope my little adventure will be helpfull to someone...

 

Finaly the problem is back... :S

If i store a cue point on a track, it recreates the sync bug...

Traktor program must have permissions problem on files it tryes to modifie.

I tryed to repair autorisations with the apple disk utility but it's the same...

It looks like a snow leopard / Traktor compatibility issue...

Hope NI support will help me...

For 2 tracks to Sync permanently (SYNC stays lit) both tracks must have Beatgrids.

Try Beatgridding 2 tracks then give Sync a go.

Just right click on your track directory. and choose "Get Info" and set to full control (read/write) for all users, including "everyone". Then click on the small gear icon on the bottom and choose "apply to enclosed items." If it's greyed, just click on the lock icon to unlock parameters.

 

I am having a SYNC problem also, Traktor wants to throw each song at the highest BPM possible at +10.0 pitch. Traktor 3.4 has no problem with this. As mentioned above is this option in TraktorPro or outside Traktor?

I was thinking it was a midi problem and needed to be configured correctly in order for it to work right. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

oh yes if you want to sync songs with big tempo differences, you have to increase the pitch range in the preferences (+/- 35 is more than enough IMHO).

You should be able to tweak pitch range in a more practical way in the next release (1.2.3) .. well at least it seems to be one of the features announced.

 

Even if they are the same BPM range it still want to put he pith at +10 automatically. This isnt a pitch problem its a SYNC problem.

May sound like a stupid quetsion.... isnt Traktor supposed to Beatgrid when it analyzes the song? or do it whtn you detect the BPM?

If not Im really lost now
