I have just updated to Traktor Pro 1.2.4 and the sync no longer works properly. When ever i click on the sync button it trys to set the BPM for around 113. This is the same no matter what track I use and whatever track I am trying to sync to.

    Help appreciated.

    hi,
i just wanted to post the same issue.
the sync function goes off track, and shows some strange behavior. was using the 1.2.2 version before without issues, upgrading to 1.2.4 made the beatsync go up and down as the track was in the mix, with devastating results. also, imported tracks are getting strange bpm assigned, like 66 while normal track bpm is around 128 for example. re-analyzing the whole lot did not cure it.
i then reinstalled the whole software, and used 1.2.3 update... but the problem remains.
i am now going to do it - again- to get back to where i was 2 frustrating days ago, at 1.2.2

Anyone else experienced these problems? any suggestions on help? someone from NI perhaps, as writing your product support on 2 occasions still did not return an answer (days and weeks have passed). this is not satisfactory! pls test yr updates before releasing them, or warn us for the risks!

    best regards

It so good to learn you are not alone. However, I find that going backwards is rarely a step forward and I am hoping that you wonderful people at NI will be able to put your finger on this quite quickly as there are gigs to be played and songs to be synced.

You've got your master set to internal clock

You've probably already checked these, but just in case:

Could it be the master clock is set to internal and somehow got set to 113bpm?

For imported tracks getting strange BPM, there is a BPM range parameter under File Management in the preferences - could this be messed up?

Again, check your midi clock mode.
Narrow your bpm detection range and reanalyse half speed tracks.

sure, i checked the internal clock, bpm detection range, the lot. tried all sorts of configurations, to no avail.
it was working perfect before... what settings do you have then?

and i agree, going backward with the versions may not be the ideal way, but right now it seems the only way for me to get traktor to do what i want it to do, which is what it was doing fine before i updated.

anyone else have ideas on cause vs solution? NI perhaps?
    cheers

What are your settings and what equipment are you using? Are these tracks that were already in your collection?
    ---
Sounds like your tracks are not beatgridded correctly. What type of files are you using, have you tried importing an old collection file etc?

    @lethal...

nothing changed; for 5 months i use traktor without any issues. still the same setup, still the same settings.
issue: day 1 it works, then we are told to update, day 2 it doesn't work.
exactly the same settings, exactly the same music, now analyzed X times.... to no avail.
i believe traktor now analyzes the tracks in a different way, resulting in either or beatgrid being changed and bpm being incorrect. result..... syncing way off... complete disaster!
in the mean time i went back to 1.2.1 version, but very frustrated by loss of time. there should have been somewhat of a warning or information about this from NI... for sure this popped up during their testing, right?
anyhow, if it is still due to a setting, they could say what needs changing.
i am also not the only one....
happy to learn more on this issue.
    cheers

    wrong updates

I did the same and I can not use absolute mode, only relative and internal, does anyone knows how can I fix this issue, it is supposed that updates are for the better nevertheless it seems to be opposite. On the other hand traktor does not recognize my keys anymore.

I would appreciate your help on this promptly, because I can not mix anymore.

    Plase help.

    Regards.

If absolute mode doesn't work it could be your calibration. Sounds like Traktor could be in "emegency mode" from loss of a channel. What does your calibration image look like? Are you using CD or vinyl?

    Hi,
I use Traktor Version 1.2.3 and my sync has been working well. When I played a gig this past Tuesday night using another DJ's updated Traktor, the sync DID NOT work. My set, which sounds perfect when I play it from my computer, didn't sound too good (in my opinion) when played live because I wasn't prepared for the sync to malfunction as badly as it did. The BPM changed on both decks constantly and quickly. Frustrating! I was going to call NI and ask what may have been wrong but I haven't had a chance to do so yet, plus it wasn't my software anyway. Now I see that others are having this problem. I'm definitely not gonna update my software until we know what's causing the sync not to work...

hi garyj, sry to hear that happened... but it is exactly this strange behavior that this update brings with it.... imo, something wrong with how it analyzes the beats, hence wrong bpm, hence wrong sync function.... extremely frustrating!
i realize every user can program their own settings, yet if i use exactly the same, traktor should give me the same result... unless i am informed otherwise and get a chance to know about it BEFORE i do the update.

No difference in the way Traktor does anything for me. Anyone care to post a video on Youtube?

I would post a YouTube but as I said, my set was Tuesday, plus it wasn't my Traktor. Honestly, I'm really disappointed that the sync wasn't working because it definitely impacted my set, and I don't want to get a bad reputation for poor beat-matching skills, etc. (although my set was still well-received). But my Traktor still works well, so I won't update it yet. I hope this gets sorted...

    Same issue with me

Ordered a Numark mixdeck and as soon as i updated the traktor software update, the same issue surfaced! My bpm counter was out of control, sometimes changing bpm counts during track playback for no apparent reason! It's definitely the software update version, as the mixdeck was working perfectly fine BEFORE the updated software. NI, please resolve this issue asap as it is not an isolated incident as you can see from these posts.

i sent 2 msgs to support, did not even get the courtesy of an answer. i am still a customer, and the software is not exactly cheap, so I can expect service from NI.... quite disappointed.
