I can't seem to get reaktor sequences to responsd and sync to external computers midi. IE, I have 1 computer, running logic (for eg) sending MTC, or Midi Clock, and another computer running reaktor, with a sequencer/synth ensemble, (sine beats for eg), synced in time. I'd like to simply set off a sequencer in logic on my other computer, and get my 'reaktor' computer in sync, in time. I've got a emagic MT4 on my reaktor computer (tried slaving from an MPC2000 and a powerbook running logic 4.8.1 with a USB2midi)..

    i'd really appreciate any ideas

Is the Midi in led flashing in reaktor? If not, you know what it means,
don"t you? Make sure you"ve set up the right channels and midi in and
    output ports.

And make sure you"re "host" sequencer is transmitting midi clock or MTC.
You can enable/disable this in logic and in the MPC, so maybe it"s switched
    off.

    my 2 cents

    good luck

    Sync rants

I'm using Reaktor and Logic on the same Mac. The good news: sync works. The bad news: timing is all over the place, making sync more or less unusable. Dynamo is much better, sync wise.
Unfortunately you can't open a Reaktor ensemble in Dynamo(probaly deliberately disabled by NI?).
Otherwise you could construct your ensemble in Reaktor, then run it in sync via Dynamo... How's Reaktor/Logic sync on the Windoze platform?

    Reaktor and external sync

I have the same problem. I have been trying forever to get Reakto ensembles with midi exteranal clock controllers to sync up. I have been through this a thousand times. 1. Set reaktor to use available midi inputs, 2. enable midi external sync in the settings control window, 3. enable the midi clock option on the ensemble. 4. get no results. I tried this in Protools as well. 1. Set reaktor to use available iac bus, 2. set a protools miditrack to send data to reaktor, 3. No midi sync. What is the deal? I have tried using reaktor on 3 other computers some mac and some windows, I have tries using Live, MPC 2000, and keyboard controllers as tempo generators. Nothing works. Has anyone been able to make this work? Or is this a hidden flaw of reaktor?
    Help?

Before you write anything I have checked and rechecked my midi chain. Using any controller mentined above I can get Reason to sync up perfectly on the same computer that Reaktor doesn't even see midi sync.

Other details, I have a midisport 2X2 going into my Reaktor computer, one input is a keyboard controller, one is a midi clock source. the midi light in Reaktors control panel lights when I use the keyboard, but not when I am sending midi clock. Why would it see one sort of data and not another?

DAM ! how stupid this synch stuff !!

i have Protools on one PC and REAKTOR on an other.
i'm sure PT sends good MTC cause i can see MTC coming into the REAKTOR PC with a little MIDI software i recommand :
    www.midiox.com

So the problem comes from REAKTOR ! (again)
