Syncing Live to Traktor Problem

Hey,

I have followed the required steps to syncing Live to Traktor and once I set the metronomes to sync, it's all good. However, if I accidentally start a deck in Traktor that's not "synced", when I next play a track in a deck in Traktor that is set to "sync", Live's sync is way out!

If, during a gig, I accidentally start playing a track that's not synced in Traktor, I'm screwed for the rest of the gig. Or if I decide I don't want the next track to be set to sync, I'm screwed for the rest of the gig because Live will go way out when I get back into sync!

Using Windows 7 and LoopBe1 instead of Traktor's Virtual Output.

Any help appreciated!

 

Are you using the track decks as the master tempo or are you syncing to the master tempo in the global section?

 

Hey Lymedo, thanks for replying.

I'm not entirely sure what the answer to this question is, but I click "tick" in Traktor when a track is not playing, and I set all my decks in Traktor to "sync". I match up the tick in Traktor to the metronome in Live.

Are these the right steps?

You must not sync the traktor decks to each other but both to the masterclock (to be found in the global section)

Afaik these controls are not mapped by default, you have to modify the mapping by yourself.

How do I install these mappings properly? I tried following a Youtube, but when I loaded in this custom mapping, it replaced the standard Traktor controls and I had to reinstall Traktor Pro.
