    First of all
    ...in the service center,

it says i entered the wrong serial#...
but it is correct! (according to my e-mail from NI)
and it shows my Machine ID and activation code
    or w/e its called...

    Secondly,

All I can get out of this thing, is the Kore Player splash screen saying ...."syncing plug-in cache"

    Thats it.
it stops at this window, and will go no further even after 20 minutes.

I know it took 12 hours to download but,
How long should it take to install?

    ^^ Actually,
    Instead of "stops"...
I should of said "CRASHES" or "FREEZES"
because that is what it does.
I have to ctrl-alt-del to get rid of it.

    Also:

Clicking "SUPPORT INFORMATION" in the service center
justs takes me right back to login page...?

Kore Player Activation status = Activated (green check)

    So,
Does NI want to sell me some soundpacks or not?

Is this thing more trouble than its worth.....?

It has been an altogether frustrating experience thus far.

At least 4 moderaters continuously online right now,
    and i get no answers.

    Im done with you NI.

I dont work this hard for some little plugin...
Just because you want my $$$$$$.

As a company you should not care that I will
NEVER be using ANYTHING with your name on it.....

    It should worry you,
    however,
that when any number of aspiring beatmakers/producers
    approach me (shows,sessions,myspace,forums)
and ask..... ((the 3 most popular Q's i hear))

    "how did you make that?"
    or
    "what gear/stuff do you use?"
    or
    "what gear/stuff should i get?"

YOUR NAME AND PRODUCTS WILL NEVER BE MENTIONED.

Native Instruments offers nothing special to me,
that I cannot create on ANY other piece of software.

You should slap yourselves for wasting a whole day of my life.

The percussive sound you hear is the stamping of little feet. The crashing sound is that of toys being thrown out the pram. The almost tangible angst is a result of near-terminal impatience.

Three hours from question to raging tantrum HAS to be a record, doesn't it?

@008: Moderators may well keep a forum page open in their browser for easy access and thus appear to be logged in. However, it doesn't mean they are actually browsing the forum and reading your infantile excesses. Buy an ounce of patience, it will do you good. And a more civil language is more likely to get you the help you so desire.

And posting in the black of the night European time might not get you the fastest response. Moderators and NI employees are known to sometimes take a nap, you know.

I was civil for the first 24 hours of messing w/this inferior product.

    Download = 12 hours

    Install = Infinite?

Time it took to realize NI is a money motivated machine.
With not ONE caring human behind the scenes.
((NOTHING like Cakewalk or Propellerheads, etc..))
    = 3 yrs.

    AND BY THE WAY SCHRAGE
THE SUM OF ALL MY PAST EXPERIENCES WITH NI
IS WHAT GOT ME TO THIS POINT.

    AND THAT WASNT 3 HOURS...

    YA DIG?

They are a selfish company with some "plastic-a$s" products.
    AND ZERO SUPPORT.

    Let em delete this thread,
    and stop responding to it,
I dont ever want to see N.I.-related anything,
    from here on out.

    Ah... I just got here.

The moderators listing only says who moderates that forum. The currently active users list says who's actually on the forum.

It was also the weekend. The NI staff takes the weekend off (yes, they have days off), and I'm not a NI employee...
I was about to ask if you were done, but you obviously weren't...

Your choice. Have a nice day...

    I've encountered this problem!

I've just rebuilt an old p3 backup for a mate and the exact same thing happens, it hangs on the plug-ins syncing screen!

    Specs:

    700mhz p3 @ 860mhz
    320mb memory
    Creative soundblaster pci 128
    asio4all 2.7

The driver setup screen does come on once per full reinstall (after full uninstall including service center).

I've also installed it on another mates machine and it does the same thing but ctrl+alt+delete, closing the exe and then restarting kore player works. Only in demo mode though, he's having problems registering. ctrl+alt+delete doesnt work on the p3.

    Weird. so;

    1. could be hardware combination
    2. Any chance you could change kore player's demo mode to be infinate? Since it's being given away for free I don't see reason why it HAS to be registered?

Would be less hassle for new-comers testing out this software.

I'm having the same problem where I can't get beyond the "syncing plug-in cache" message.

Hope that impatient, stroppy bloke hasn't put the moderators off from addressing this problem as it's obviously affecting others too.

It's not going to run on the P3 you mention; that's way under spec.

    http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?id=koreplayer&L=1

I did some testing with the first Kore 1 betas on my old 933 MHZ PIII with 512 MB of RAM, and it barely ran on that...

    ah, ok!

My other m8 only has 512mb ram atm but his cpu is an althlon 2400xp at 2ghz and emu-0202...ram probably the issue here although it does run after ctrl+alt+delete, shutting kore player down and then restarting kore player.

Hi, same Problem on an Athlon x2 64 5200+, 2048 MB RAM, ESI Juli@ Soundcard with Windows XP SP3 32bit. Restarting the Kore Player does nothing. It always freezes at 'syncing plug-in cache'. I installed the 2.0.3.000 version from the c't DVD 13/08 and moved no directories at all. Just standard installation. Is there anything I can do?

    Thanks in advance
    Arne K.

    Thank You!

Same problem here. I get to the 'syncing plug-in cache' message on the splash screen and it never gets any further.

I opened Service Center and tried to register offline (no Internet connection to my DAW PC). On the NI site I opened the exported HTML file and followed the instructions, but I never get to a page where I can download the activation file. I created an account and logged in, but the last page I get to gives me the message "On this page you can download your personal Activation Return File" but I can't find anything anywhere on the page that allows me to do this.

I know the first person here was totally unreasonable, but I don't really think anyone has addressed this. I'll use this software, but I have no clue how to activate it, or prevent it from crashing.

    Help please?

    Hi,

I would try to delete the following file first:

    "Pluglist.xml"

This is located under the following location (PC):

    C:\Documents and Settings\~username~\Local Settings\Application Data\Native Instruments

Then restart the Kore Player and see if the problem is gone.

Please let us know if this helps to solve the problem or not.

I tried this and it didn't help. Plugins.xml was recreated after I tried to restart Kore Player.

Same problem - hangs at the splash screen.

The plugins .xml will be recreated- that's the point; to replace a suspectedly corrupt version.

As I said over at KVR, I'm at a loss here. The only thing I can think of would be also removing the koredb that you'll find at the same location as the plugins.xml and then rebooting, but I'm not sure if that'll work either. Marius?

Deleted koredb too and reinstalled. No joy.
