T Pro 1.1.1 Latency poll

What's everyone using? Please post system specs

Right now I'm using 26ms, audio dj 8 set to 96000khz with keylock on high on a 2.2ghz intel core 2 duo with 2G ram.

oh yeah, with timecode on.

 

Still running 2ms @ 48000khz

Current laptop is running a Turion64 @ 2ghz + 2gb Ram

New laptop will be Intel Duo Core 2.4ghz + 4gb Ram

 

5.5 @44.1

 

4.0 ms @ 48000khz keylock on high (Vinyl Time code)
New MBP 2.8 Ghz 4GB

the only latency setting I can get TSP to run at with no problems is 7.5 @ 44.1. Any higher I get a single dropout about 15 min after starting my computer. Check also this thread I started for more answers to your question.

I'm jealous of Quartz's 2.0ms. Because I know that's with scratch too on a much less expensive machine. He's got it dialed in for sure.

(Don't know if I would notice a difference of 2.0ms, but it's definitely an impressive latency)

 

On setup 1, timecode through polycarbonate Macbook using a Mackie d.2 Pro, 48000 sampling, 2.5ms latency.

On setup 2, timecode through aluminum Macbook using Audio8DJ, 44100 sampling, 2.5ms latency.

Both Macbooks are 2.4GHz C2D, 4GB RAM. Oh and those numbers are with Bluetooth and Wifi (Airport) on. Quartz, Mac is comin for ya! Muhahahahahaaaaa.....

The answer about latency from NI:

1. Latency and sample rate.

Since Traktor3.4 we changed the audio bridge in Traktor. The shown latency in
TraktorPro now has more to do with the reality as in Traktor3. A sample rate
96000 Hz with a latency around 3ms will probably overwhelm each existing
computer system. I would recommend the following.

Almost all music files are produced with a 44100Hz sample rate and it doesn´t
make sense at all to use a higher sample rate then, because you´ll get a lot
of sample convert errors which you will notice with a extreme increment in the
audible high frequency spectrum. This has nothing to do with sound quality
this are simply converting errors.

With a 44100 Hz sample rate and 8ms latency time, TraktorPro should work as
expected.

 

I'm getting 2.5 ms in 96khz with a TC Electronics Desktop Konnekt 6 on a Macbook pro 2.8ghz

Getting around 5ms in 44khz with the Audio8DJ on the same machine.

over 48khz, on any latency setting (well, the 3 presets: low, med and hi), my Audio8 packs it in. Nothing but the sounds of silence. I'm good with 48, but it is an odd one...

can run 1.0 ms, with no problems.. But it´s at 2,5 ms @ 44.1. Macbook 2,4 4GBram.
Just because i can and i don´t take any chances..


Why is everybody typicaly running 48 KHz or over?
My music is ripped in 44.1, so i don´t see any idea running
Traktor higher.. better efx rendering probely?

Was running at 1.0ms but this thread made me go off and do some fiddling with my driver.

Got it down to 0.5 ms @ 44.1kHz with no glitch or wonkyness.

Probably keep it a 1.0ms just as a safety margin.

 

my audio8 driver doesn´t show 1 ms, only 1.5
