    Hi

First of all i'm new to traktor and even djing
    I installed it last night

    I have a huge album-collection
Mainly reggae, dub, afrobeat, jazz, funk, and many electro variations on it
Since several months i'm busy tagging them
Rating and comments, in which i place the genre en subgenre

I have something weird in my tags, i suppose, since i'm new
Lots of my 'comments' tags are completely messed up since i imported all my tracks in traktor
I wanted to import everything to make some BPM detection
I tried beatunes, but wasnt happy with it, because many tracks didn't have a correct BPM
Yesterday, i discovered that the BPM was much more accurate in traktor
So why not making a complete analyse of everything

I only imported the track, not yet analysed and suddenly i discovered that many albums have a different comments tag than what i gave
When i checked in itunes, they were changed there to

    What went wrong
I lost a lot of days of work tagging them

    Im using traktor pro 2
    On a imac 27" (2010)
    Osx mountain lion
Music is located on my nas
    Itunes library files too
Did import from itunes library in traktor
    ---
    I also want to add
    Or to ask

    Is it normal
In my rating in itunes, i have added 5 stars to the tracks,
which means to me, excellent tracks, good for djsessions

I have created in itunes a smart playlist, only containg 5 star tracks
I have looked up those tracks in traktor
And most of them dont have the rating, or 4 or 3
It is inconsistant with wath i have done in itunes

    Weird

I maybe figured out what the problem is.

Is it possible that both programs, Traktor and iTunes, use different ID3-tags
When I imported them in Traktor, it wasn't able yet to read the latest version of ID3-tags.
And it has rewritten them in a previous version.

Did someone else have the same problem.

Anyone knows what version iTunes 10,7 uses
Anyone knows what version Traktor uses.
Or am I thinking the wrong way.

I have a similar problem in that any itunes imports with modified ID3 tags such as comments show correctly in the itunes folder in Traktor's browser tree but as soon as those file are imported the tags disappear and have to be re-entered again manually.

Curiously Beatport appears in the Traktor comments field whereas this annoying tag doesn't appear in purchases imported to itunes any more.

This seems to be a 2.6 series problem?
