    Interview:

"Tell us about working with Mathaius Young and your style of production as you see it."

    ArtSake™:
"Working around raw sound is my favorite way to attack an instrumental, utilizing the most basic sine and saw wav. samples can create any possible sound. For mathematic trap production I like to think about creating a sense of tension and release so the percussion pushes and pulls. Im a huge fan of Eestbound / Wonda Gurl and the way they use bass so I've been tweaking sub basses and playing with distortions to create a stronger bass texture. Melody wise i'm not the sample heavy I prefer just playing around with a piano to come up with a minimal yeah chord rich loop. I like playing with a mixture of kits to get the right snare taps and hits and then its all about placement."

"Having the opportunity to work with Mathaius was very exciting just being involved with his project "Pilot" was cool and good for my exposure. He is a really talented and smart producer, I've learned a lot about rhythmic placement and style from his sound. He's worked with both Eestbound and Wonda Gurl and just today in-fact released music with Sonny Digital. The way he played with what i sent for 'Okay' was really interesting and essentially unpredictable, his sound perfectly accented my sound on that track. As for going forward I plan on working with him in the near future, as well as Xavier Clark, Drayco McCoy, Tae Fresh and many others."
