    Hi,

Maybe it's obvious but I'm not seeing a solution to this problem.

I want to tap tempo my synced delays without affecting the pitch. There is an annoying pitch shifting affect that occurs when I tap tempo. Any suggestions and help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,

I can only think of a dirty workaround, which would be to have 2 delays, and configure the tap tempo to activate deactivate each of the delays alternatively.

Check my recent history posting to see how you could achieve that. I was replying to a feature request on the RK.

    Cheers

I assume you are using the tape delay? If so, then if you go into the component's advanced parameters there is a knob called acceleration. zero that out and you will not hear the pitch change.

that pitch change is for authenticity - a tape delay is literally magnetic tape that loops between two reels and the tempo is set by how fast the reels spin. If you wanted to change the speed of the delay, the motor would have to accelerate to the new speed, and whatever audio was left on the tape would speed up or slow down with it. Setting the acceleration to zero is physically not possible, but it means that when you give the tape delay a new speed, the reels instantly change to that speed.

I tried zeroing out the acceleration before I submitted this post but the shift is still present.

I'm familiar with the purpose of the tape delay and it's characteristic but all the delays have this effect which I'm trying to avoid.

Thank you for your response though Daverlee. I appreciate it.

hmm. did you try putting accceleration at its max value? I guess that would make more sense.
