... and I'm well chuffed about it :)

Firsly - Hello everyone! It's Isabella here, writing from Manchester in UK

Two years of hard work came into fruition and managed to get it out eventually. I’ve discovered depths of electronic music only recently, before my music interests revolved mostly black metal, neofolk music and bands mostly. Once I got into certain types of techno music I realised how much black metal and techno have in common. So the album is an attempt to conjure the distorted black metal energy into the electronic dance music realm and so make the synths sound like guitars and with some spaced out riff-y progressions, a lot of snare drums etc. That was the initial idea at least, I’ll leave to you guys to judge whether I succeed.

In terms of Hardware, Maschine Mk3 is at the heart of things. Originally I used Standalone Maschine app, but it has its limits, especially when recording and automating so eventually mapped all of my channels into Ableton Live. I also use Roland Tb-03 a lot for the Acid bits, passed through Black Matter distortion pedal - you can hear this combo shine on the Signal track.

Software wise I use a lot of stock Maschine plugins, Filter and Distortion (whoever did the Mulholland and went a bit crazy with that have my eternal gratitude and respect :). the most but also flanger, sometimes metaverb etc... From the other NI plugins there is Replica here and there as well as Supercharger (and really pushed) on the Kicks... Synths wise I use Massive - the old one, got the X version but didn't have time to get my head around it. Also Monark, which I am a big fan of. There is a good plenty of other things too, don't want to bore you too much, but feedback, questions are more than welcomed. And of course if you dig it, subscribe and all that ;). Ok, without further overdue, I present to you: Ketamine 666:
