After loading up a track into a deck, when I try to play it it will sometimes speed up uncontrollably. I'm at a loss to explain the cause. Has anybody had experience with this kind of issue?

Can you explain your setup and config in further detail?

Not enough detail here mate! Check your master clock and sync settings!

Uses only available audio device, only available sample rate (44.1). latency (overall) 20 ms. Built in sound card. Internal mixing. Master outputs through L and R speakers. ECO and scratch on key lock. 2 Track Decks. Small size. 2 FX units.

Under clock, nothing is highlighted, I select current track as master.

    Thanks.

I had this problem in T3 and never could figure out what was going on.... I'd be mixing, and all of a sudden without me touching a thing, tempo and pitch would take off... :(

None of the free screencasters work for me. I doubts any video would explain more than I have already. It's quite simple; audio starts to crackle, tempo speeds up, pitch preserved.

I get the exact same thing with my Traktor Pro 2 ver. 2.0.1 as well with no controller connected, tracks speed up and slow down for no reason.

I haven't noticed this with my S4 hooked up to it, but I'll listen more closely and see.

Yeah, don't use your internal spundcard's WDM drivers they ate rubbish and WDM is not designed for pro-audio.
