No drop outs it works with Key Lock up to %50 pitch on my AA's.

The SA driver installed flawlessly and detected the SA.

Calibration was fine, no problems there!

Wow, now to try all the new features.

    I''m VERY, VERY,VERY happy NI & Stanton!!!!

My Firewire chipset is a an Agere/Lucent FW323 Chip for your records.

    @Quartz,
What Brand and model of PC Card is it that you have?

I'm hearing mixed reports about the Agere chipset but much more good than bad! also hearing about some tests with induced unstable current delivery and low voltage on Ti Chipset cards. The results of which are not at all encouraging. More details if I can get / give them.

    Phil

    Hey Phil,

I'm not using a laptop actually. I'm using a Shuttle XPC and the firewire controller is integrated.

I was very relieved to not have any problems at all. I'm very, very happy with this product.

I had to upgrade to XP Pro last night from 2000 because the SA driver won't install n 2K and everything went smoothly. All I had to do was install the SA driver and re-authorize my FS2 software.

Did I say I was happy, once again I am very happy... :D

    No Nemonic,

It's definately not like the old days. Not to mention the new features, etc.... ahhhhh

Seriously though I'm very happy with how the installation went even after having to upgrade my OS to XP Pro SP2.

The SA is very high quality and has not cause me any grief. TFS is very stable so far and not causing me any problms.

I will test extensively and keep reporting.

Yeah, yeah, the new updates are great, but if they could just do something to decrease overall latency that would make it even better. I still don't understand how a system using usb is faster than one using firewire 400. It's understandable when you are running more features, but when you are just scratching with no other features how about reduced latency. A scratch mode maybe?

I'm hoping an updated SA driver can improve that. The way I look at it is TFS 2,x is still an infant and will grow.

New hardware, software revamp, a lot of things are in the mix.

What would be nice is a proactive feedback from NI on what is being fixed and added before hand.

New hardware!? What do you mean? Surely you don't think anyone on this forum would shell out another couple hundred for a FS 3 scratch amp do you? Get serious, there better not be another hardware update until they can implement firewire 800 in it.

    @ Vortex...

Firstly you misread my post. What I meant by new hardware is the SA2 is fresh off the press. So NI is still probably learning the limitations and flexibility of the design. So the drivers are probably not as effecient as they could be. As development progresses, things will get ironed out and coded better to control the hardware.

Are you crazy, I had to get all new hardware for FS2 coming from FS1. So they better not implement another SA!

    Ha ha
