Tha Bizness (production team, google them they've done a few hits) were on their twitter feed last night talking about 1.6 and how they are excited about the new features. Sounded like they already have it. They said they are going to do a tutorial video and the update will be out "soon". Gave maschine a lot of praise as well. Thought i'd pass that along to my fellow maschinists...not a lot of "update" info but it was cool to hear another "known" production team using maschine as well as 1.6's near release! C'mon NI! :D

In my opinion Maschine was already a knotch or two above the MPC when they released Maschine. I know it can be a touchy subject for MPC loyalist and I myself had began investing in the MPC 5000 before I saw what Maschine was capable of. With the price range as well I chose Maschine over the MPC line. I have had mine for about five to six months now and I love it. With the release of the 1.6 update whenever they decide to release it, it will set itself so far apart from the MPC and other groove boxes I don't think they would ever catch them only emulate. I Know I cant wait until I get my hands on the update myself. Native Instruments is definitely the future of sound. Just think of using "The finger," or absynth, FM8, ect. within Maschine and any third party vst/au plugins? All I can say is OMG......They really do listen to the consumer and as with the release of Pro tools 9 I can see my recordings goin to the next level.
