I can nudge tracks just fine. What Sync mode do you have selected in preferences?

+1 outside of the cdj cue issue.. Otherwise, its stable for me and i like almost all the new features and find at least half of them very useful.

beat sync... as usual... when i try to nudge a synced track it allows you to push it out of sync but then drops straight back into the beat grid when you let go of the jog wheel..!.. you can only nudge it when its not synced..!

So you want to sync it, but not really? What is the purpose of this might I ask? If you havent beat gridded it properly or its not on the same tempo (drifting) you can you use sync to get a ballpark and than swithc sync off and nudge it into the right tempo. Otherwise I see no point why you want this to happen.

yeah some tracks drift a little especially the vinyl rips and on the old version you could nudge them back in while in sync and then any loops would stay in sync plus you could shift sync the tracks back into the grid.... anyway if you don't use it you won't need it... i got used to it and would like it back.. less buttons to press to juggle the drifting tempo..!

Change to tempo sync. That will give you the behaviour you want.

hey all, came upon this thread, kind of the issue im having, i find on 2.1.1 the beat functio and tempo function work the same way, no matter which i choose if i scratch or nudge it the sync button disengages, i know on tempo sync this is the behaviour it should do, i read somewhere that if tempo sync was selected after nudging and scratching it would sync the phases back up after the jog wheel on the cd was rleased, does not happen for m, i have to hit the sync button on my x1 twice to resync it again.. basially everytime i touch the jogwheeel i have to hit my sync button tic to resync.. th first time i hit the sync button it will go from half lit to off then hit it again and it will then light up and sync...if possible could someone please clarify this for me..
    Thanx

Tempo sync keeps the tempo's sync'd but not the phase. When you adjust the phase with tempo sync the button dims to show you it is still active but out of phase. If you adjusted the tempo of the master track the other tempo would follow but keep the phase offset you have created. (Hence tempo sync). This is what is supposed to happen.

With beatsync the tempo and phase are synced. If you try and adjust the phase the tracks are no longer beat synced and so sync turns off. If you then adjusted the tempo of the master track the other one would not change at all because sync is no longer active.

Thanx for the swift reply Count...Ok i tested both and oddly i get the same results using either, meaning they both do the same thing.with beat sync the sync light dims when pushed out of phase, its not a hassle for me, im just trying to figure out how it works.. another thing i noticed is that if i speed up the master deck, the slave deck takes time to speed up and runs out of phase no matter whicj option i use.. im doing this on the 2.1.1 version.... so basically if i spped up the master tempo i need to keep nudging the the wheel on the cdj to keep it in sync until the slave deck tempo catches up...is that normal, im sure on previous versions both decks would change tempo at the same time...

Hmmm. Sounds like beatsync isn't doing what it is supposed to then. Do you use timecodes or do you have your CDJ's in midi mode?

yeah i use timecode....obviously in scratch mode it does not work that way...i tried it playing with my x1 on internal mode and then it works as it is meant to....since you give great feedback was also wondering if you have the cue issue with timecode... if i load a track and use my x1 to load it at a stored hotcue, once i press play it jumps back to the the silence intro at beginning of a track or pehaps 15 beats before the cue point....wonderng if that is a bug or maybe hit and miss with certain people...
Thanx once again for your info and help, can always count on you for direct and knowlegable answers.

Looks like there are some issues when using timecode. NI are aware of a lot of these and will get a fix out soon but it would really help them if everyone who is experiencing the issues files a bug report with NI.

it may sound dumb , but i have a x1 i just bought it and i want to know
how can i change the samples so they can be like one shot-loop?
or do i have to click it directly on the lap?
