Now that sounds like something I might do. In fact ... that could be the one, haha.

    Hi John--

What about a step-sequenced drum machine that works algorithmically? By that I mean you could set the probability of a note triggering for each step. For example 100% for step one, 15% for step two, 34% for step three....

Good advice. The caffiene isn't an issue... but I don't have A/C... :-\

I don't even have drinkable water currently... very sad state of affairs at the moment.

Not a bad idea... there's already a ton of good drum machines last time I checked though. Besides, I'd never use it myself.. not really the drum machine type.. so it would probably turn out all crappy. :)

I oculd give you at least a dozen ideas if you increase 24 hours to 24 days--none of the ideas I've been thinking about could be finished in 24 hours :)

hmm, not good. you should seriously consider turning your programming skills into money.
shouldn´t be much of a prob technically, really.
    but look who´s talkin´:
no A/C here either, just a f*****g noisy fan

    ;-)

Just so everyone knows.. unfortunately I have to delay this whole thing, but just two or so days.

No I'm not doing that to get a head start. ;-)

Some personal stuff came up that I have to take care of, so hopefully thursday or so I'll be able to do it.

My new version of CL-909 (CL-909-Lite) has the same sort of stutter effect that I used in my El-Destructo on all of the samples and is more sample-based in general. You can have the stutters programmed to slow down and decay in volume over time.

This a link to a beat-up, unfinished version <-full disclaimer! I have abetter on my home HD. The final will be posted to the User Lib soon, need to do a little more clean-up on it. You should check it out though, I think I came up with a cool way of trigger whether a note should be triggered or a "stuttered" note - it can go from 1/8th notes up to 96th notes.

Doesn't sound like the bouncing ball though, that's be a more exponential effect, and would mean speeding up, mine currently only slows down, and I'm running out of panel space to make speeding up an option :).

Back to the original topic, I think I've been working on stuff in Reaktor for 18 or the past 24 hours.

I wonder if one or more of Aureality's creations will do these things? Chameleon and MorphSeq sound like it from their descriptions. Check 'em out here (and maybe also in the User library?):

Number 3's kind-of sorted as "Prototype morphing percussion sequencer" in the user library.

The description of MorphSeq in particular sounds interesting, though - I'll check it out!

    Thanks,
    Robin

i do not know much about R4 building yet (check out my R4 thread - R4 email tutor needed).
i was fiddling with a notebeat, very little ASR, some D in an envelope, added a macro delay with feedback on full. i shortened the lengths of time between the pulses to smallest and lots of pulses after inital notebeat.......... i started to get nice harmonic resonating sounds...how about an instrument that emphasis these aspects. if you know what i mean.

Here's something R needs: A true looping delay...iow, a delay line that starts recording with a button press, then stops and begins playing back when pressed again, looping indefinitely (or fading out if feedback is reduced), so that the delay time is set on the fly as the length of time between the two button presses. Can this be done with the existing modules? I think I'll post this in the creator's section, too...in case you don't find this as necessary as i do, John!
