This thread is for linking to musics Maschine-users have made that do not fall into the genres that other threads have already catered for i.e., hip-hop, electro, techno etc. and hence being alternative. Not necessarily alternative as in the genre.

Please link to anything you want people to listen to and comment on. Hopefully this will declutter the forum a bit (from people making new threads every time they make a new track) and also show the diversity of Maschine as an instrument and that you don't only have to make hip-hop or techno (not that there's anything wrong with making those styles!). :)

Disclaimer: If there is already such a thread, feel free to let me know and we can let this one die. I just couldn't find it.

    ---

This thread also gives me a cheeky way to share my own latest work:

    http://soundcloud.com/glaklandy/sets/v-ep/

It's a three-track EP that's been a long time in the making for one reason or another, but now it's finished. Feel free to make comments on the tracks. I may not be the most popular forum member, but try not to let that hold you back. :p

    Enjoy. :)

If I dare post my noise here... Don't hesitate to jump in the pool ;)

Without a doubt my noise belongs here. Not for those looking for mainstream tunes!

I listened to the Lamb and Emika remixes and also 'Rainy Day Revolution Dub' and 'Pleasure Chemical'. I think you have some nice ideas and good sound choices. You definitely make an overall cohesive sound out of them too. And I think the Emika remix is arguably better than the original.

Though I agree it does belong here, after what you wrote I got the impression it would be closer to the dark side, but after listening to 'Pastel', I was surprised that it was relatively upbeat, even quirky. Parts even reminded me of the soundtrack to a British sitcom called 'Green Wing'. Not a bad thing, just unexpected.
I also listened to 'End', which definitely belongs here and which I found interesting to a degree, but couldn't help but think I would have preferred it if the most salient parts of the track had been backgrounded a bit and the background noises be more the focus.

I'm using the maschine to create a kind of music inspired by the old meandering spiritual synth gurus like Terry Riley and J.D. Emmanuel. Sometimes I'll record straight to tape for a nice compression and distortion effect.

    Example: http://soundcloud.com/moonwheel/aleifr

This is really good and suitably dark. Nicely produced too...vocals remind me of Underworld. I like. I follow. :)

Thanks for listening and, to me, that's quite a compliment. I'm a pretty big Underworld fan and have been for many years.
I'll have a listen to yours soon too. :)

Everything was done in Maschine except for the tracking of the vocals and guitars, which I did in Live.

Thank you for listening and I'm very glad you enjoyed it. :D

I think my Cold Flesh Colony stuff fits in here as well.
It's a bit of everything mixed in a bag with industrial. :D
Not all made in Maschine but Maschine was a good starting point for many of my tracks.

    Hope you enjoy

here's some of my stuff. not everything made in maschine but most of the latest uploads are.

im mainly focused on breakcore and twisted *step stuff, but i draw my inspiration from a lot of sources including darkambient, industrial, noise , postrock , doom and black metal...

Soundcloud updated with three alternate versions of tracks using "womanized" vocals.

All me and all except the tracking of (and mutating of) vocals and guitars was recorded live into Maschine with Maschine.
