I’d pay good money for the ability to limit the recommendation engine to the current playlist

I think that their wording on the email is a bit suspect ...

"SLICE IT UP - The free TRAKTOR DJ 1.5 update introduces the cutting-edge SuperSlicer add-on - now available for in-app purchase*."

    * SuperSlicer can be purchased for AU$ 2.49 (iPad version) or AU$ 1.29 (iPhone version) via the in-app notification pop-up on first start-up after update or installation.

Whatever ... it's not like anything we say or do here matters.

I'd pay to remove the recommended engine.

I use my S2 MK2 with TDJ every weekend with the current release which has been stable for me. I'm still using iOS6 too.

I think I'll hang fire for the moment before upgrading.

At the moment I think I've noticed two bug fixes.
    1. Entering and exiting beat gridding using the s2 seems to be fixed. The song would sometimes jump out of beat on exit. Last night no matter how many times I entered/exited the beat grid using sync + shift it stayed 'on beat'. Good news.
    2. Audio drop outs may be fixed. This happened before when turning pitch on off . I need to confirm after tonite.

First impressions of the slicer ? It's a bit of a gimmick thats fun sometimes. I'd like to use the break effect for a classic switch from one deck to the next. U can do it, but it's quite fiddly. Having to set the loop and freeze a segment first is a pain. The scratch is fun... but I want to double scratch and release the song from that point really. Almost like you can do in traditional freeze mode. it's fun to have , but I'm happier my money has gone toward bug fixes and playlist history really.

Can I pay £1.49 to have the original bpm shown at all times now ? I wonder what the next step is.

This was a good and needed update, some things I still think are crucial are:

    - I like history lists, but there is no current way to delete them (I don't need a record of every time I was messing around, I usually only keep history of the actual gigs I do)

    - Still would be nice to have a check mark next to played songs for the current section without having to scroll through history

    - The ability to have recommendation engine work for the current playlist you are in

    - The ability to turn off the recommendation engine, so I don't have to swipe it away every time I go to my songs list

    - The ability to see the songs original BPM, not just it's current BPM

Recommendation engine need to have three options:
    - All
    - Current Playlist
    - Off

And a VISUAL INDICATOR of previously played tracks in the current session (since hitting play).

It’s all I really ask for NI. Have fun with slicers and dicers all you want, but don’t forget the very basics!

The bug fixes I mentioned earlier Defo work. but mirroring a song quickly with the s2 doesn't anymore which is a real shame as I feel that's how the slicer would actually be really useful.
Hopefully u can get back to basics as mentioned by Gen Erik.

    Totally agree !! +1
And one issue more to be complete: possibility to beatmatch manually (pitch bend with jogwheel) with key lock ON (currently you have to switch sync AND key lock OFF :( ...

Well, I like the Slicer! It's a great feature to enrich your set! Definetly worth it's money...

I hope NI will update it to integrate it a little bit more into the music-flow. Here some ideas:
    1. I need a possiblity to hit the play button and escape the loop very wuickly, after messing everything up the audience with the slices
    2. Would be cool to have the slices configurable.. I don't need everything here.
    3. I had one crash of the plugin, what was not too bad: because it fell back into the regular play mode.
    4. You def need more multi-touch features!! I want to use 2 or 4 fingers on it. But that is currently not possible alt all.

Well somebody from NI email back about. How to delete playlist history "Playlist can be deleted in the Playlists menu. Use the Edit button in the top
right corner and then select the playlist you wish to delete. Check and see if it works

I don't see an Edit button in History. I'll email one of the devs and get a clear answer. I still cannot delete history playlists.
