Just to confirm - that I am not supposed to hear any sounds directly from The Finger, correct? Playing on my keyboard highlights the "high pass" and other buttons - but no sounds are emanating from the tool.

I guess it is only to be used as a filter, fx, etc. Can someone confirm?

I'm using it in ableton live.

If you're using it with Kore then you have to put it in an audio track with vocal or drum loop in that track and then put an empty midi track next to it and send the midi into the audio track.

Conversley, If you are using it in the new reaktor player you put reaktor in a midi track and select the finger (R2, a updated version) and send audio from an audio track into that midi track.

I found all this confusing and had to have a NI tech guy explain it to me.

I also need explaining to me why Reaktor player is an improvement in using it at all as I don't seem able to save changes or make them easily anyway. If anyone tells you how to do that, I'd like to know.

Have fun. The finger is awesome.

    Aidan.

No- it means you can run external audio through it without using a host. It's an effect, right?
And you seem to go out of your way to be irritating. I'd advise you to read the forum rules:

Buzz off buddy. Tally for tally you've gone out of your way to be off topic in 90% of my posts. I'm simply telling you it's not appreciated or insightful. Or on-topic.

Every piece of information I'm collecting, including from my call the other day with NI in which I specifically discussed your abhorrent sense of community, is being included in data that will be used to help solve common problems without belittling others. I couldn't say the same for your continued jabs -- so my advice is hang it up and be helpful. I think you held yourself very highly in a helpful reply to one of my threads yesterday. That's all I'm looking for in a moderator; not an ego battle or a waste of time. Let's get on track.
    ---

+1. Good call, I'm curious as well.

With the time of night it is when I usually look at posts I may be getting confused but if I irritated anybody I apologise.

Orion, did the way I use the finger work in your DAW at all. If not I'm sorry I didn't help.

    Peace to all you guys.

    Aidan.

    Where was that? :)

Don't worry too much about inadvertently upsetting people. Most of us here are grown-ups and, while SOME of us could learn some manners and how to ask questions rather than make demands (I've just given myself a course of self-hypnosis on that very subject), then there are few real problems.

    OrionTheDrummer:

The way I see it, ew can occasionally be brusque/concise (depending on your pov) but is never less than helpful and usually a lot more.
