The Giant Cinematic no Sound in Maschine 2.05

    I've updated from Maschine 1.85 to Maschine 2.05. Fortunately i have no big issues but the cinematic Version of The Giant plays no sound. It plays in Kontakt standalone but not as Plugin. Thats quite a bit strange because the normal Version works without any problems. And yes, the channel was the correct one ;)

    Has anyone an idea how to fix this / has anyone else this problem? Or does it sound like a bug? Thanks :)

    I noticed this a couple of nights ago too. I didn't spend much time with it but I tried changing the base key of the pads with no success.

    It's definitely not making any sound in Maschine.

    I think the Giant cinematic is just effects to add to the realism the sounds are there just not for every octave...

    I might be wrong just what I've noticed for playing with it for no more then 5 min

    @rbrucemtl: I dont really know what you mean but you can play the cinematic version as a standalone instrument with full claviature (88 keys)

    I have discovered the same Problem with the Damage Single Loops. In Kontakt they play completely normal, in Maschine no sound.

    i can confirm that there is no sound from The Giant Cinematic. i have reported this as a bug to NI.

    i don't have Damage, so i can't confirm that.

    Dan… can you give an example of a specific Damage patch that isn't working for you?

    Oh sorry, my mistake. I meant (all, if you want it specific just try PERC Studio Roto Drum) the percussive Kits! A bit scary...in this moment i heard sound of a few Percussive kits, i switched through the kits and...no sound anymore. I reopened Maschine, still no sound (with the same kits).

    Try rescanning your target drive where the samples are at…as well as the plugins… I did this, and I was able to get the cinematic version of The Giant to work.

    Hey Dan,

    Are you on Mac or Windows?

    On my OSX system I loading the PERC Studio Roto Tom and could hear the samples when playing on Maschine's Pads.

    I then switched around the other PERC Studio presets and back to the Roto Tom and the patches were all playing for me.

    The only thing I noticed is that the key range of the presets is quite narrow… i.e.: Roto Toms begins at F1 and ends at C#3, so if you were playing, say C1, you would not hear anything… I doubt that this is the problem you are having but thought I would mention it.

    Latest Mac OS.

    I see the keyrange and i also have a Keyboard ;) Damage is kind of strange and maybe only my problem...but i think the Giant is approved now.

    you have to select a preset to get the giant to work the first time. if you do not, it will not play any sound. so go to the right corner in the mixer view and select a preset like luminous city.

    damage seems to have a small range on the notes, but yes, though i do not know why you would want the loops in Maschine, they don't work, in fact they cause Maschine to crash...

    The loops work, the Percussive Kits don't. And for me its the most important part of Damage, the only individial part.
