The New EVOLVE Collection...

okay, so I'm a bit confused here.

What is it? Is it new pack of sounds? or is it Evolve Mutations 1 & 2 in a new format?

 

It's Heavyocity Evolve, a different library that Heavyocity produced BEFORE EM1/2, they've just made it now available through NI's site, I think.

I hope they update the website soon. I have just a couple days left on an EVoucher I'm hoping that can be used.

 

I'd lay money that it'll either be in Komplete 9 or it will be discontinued.

Odds slightly favor the former because they actually made it compatible with Maschine browser format.

Either way, I think I'll wait. And then I shall gloat and dance and sing "I told you so!"

 

I think BIF's right. 99€ is excellent value for Evolve and it's tempting as it's V1.5 that's been upgraded for Maschine compatibility...

...but this promotion has 'soon to be included in Komplete 9 Ultimate' written all over it.

Those of us who've been with NI for a while have learnt that the only thing worth buying after Komplete is the next Komplete upgrade.

 

And that also means no more K4 compatibility, it's K5 only.

 

Well that's good to know, I'm new to the NI world, and happily so this is some real quality stuff. I started off with Komplete 8 and then ordered Komplete 8 Ultimate (sadly it hasn't arrived at my retailer yet).

So the lesson essentially is, don't spend the money on add-ons because it will end up being cheaper to wait get them all included in the next Komplete package.

I hope Komplete 9 won't be for a little bit, I'm gonna have to recover from these purchases first.

 

Exactly the same here: I too have my Evoucher, it will expire soon and, of course, it can not be used on this product. Wonderful.

 

I was curious to know if any of the content from the two Evolve Mutations library was also included in the the full Evolve product. Here is the response that I received from Ari at Heavyocity:

Evolve, Evolve Mutations, and Evolve Mutations 2 are all separate products. There is no shared content in any of the 3 libraries, meaning you won't find presets from one product in the others. The Mutations products are a bit more glitchy and tweaked, whereas Evolve has a more organic feel to it. Evolve is around 6GB of sample content, and just over 1100 presets. Probably not for at least 18 more months, it's all pure speculation at this point.
