I've just installed Kontakt 1.2.1 and it works fine as a stand-alone -even reads my home-made Akai discs. But I just can't get any sound out of it when running inside Sonar 2.2 (which is my aim here). I see all the right lights flickering, my CPU and midi indicators indicating
etc - just no noise. The 1.1 demo worked fine.
    Any help most welcome
    Thanks

    Solution

    Hi,

you must allow Sonar to create the audio track for that Kontakt voice when using it as a DXI..

Without an Audio track, there is nothing to listen to..

You should see a prompt come up prior to inserting a DXI..

Thanks. I'm OK with the process; as I said, I had 1.1 working OK. It's more like Kontakt not being able to find the sound card (which incidentally is a Layla) whilst within Sonar. Everything working OK, meters and all, only no sound.
(It's certainly a short-circuit between the headphones - damned if I can find it)
