    Hey.

I have an idea. Lets make this a thread for those posters with 1,000s of posts whose only posts are to complain about how NI screws them over or how they can't get anything creative done within the confines of their current setup or how NI breaks promises or how anybody who calls them out must secretly work for NI or any other conspiracy that seems to be holding them back in life. I'm sure we could use it, what with the announcement of the MKIII.

Maybe then the rest of the forum could be of service and useful to people who have questions or want to share ideas without having to wade through incessant posts of weeping and wailing...

    Just a thought.

Or, or, you can just let people talk whatever the f••k the want because thats the real point of a forum.

Dont worry, people will be still able to create the "halp, I didnt read the manual so I dont know to use it" posts, there is an unlimited number of posts to be created, we are not running out of them.

Haha - but the idea with the complainers is good - and I don't mean good criticism this is good - but the op is right there are some people who can't finish there tracks until native does this and that ..........

And I think it's also meant funny - isn't it?

Yes indeed, if only we had more people complaining about people complaining, the world would be a better place...for you and for me.

No irony at all here whatsoever.

So you think the people who complain about things are keeping others from getting help or useful information? I respectfully disagree, i don't think help/info threads are hijacked by whining at all...
I have complained a lot, but i also helped a lot as well as many other active members.

Depends on the thread it self, some are more prone to comparison with other software/hardware, but that might also be considered "information". I really don't get the point of complaining that others complain. If a simple app has features Maschine doesn't its normal people mention it (maybe someone finds a new cool app to play with). It's funny because a lot of the people who complain that others are whining too much never bothered to help others, share production tips or add anything of value to discussions...

A group of friends can go to a restaurant, some might like the food while others might be disappointed and compare with other restaurants, if a costumer spends his money on something he should have the right to speak his mind it, respectfully of course.

I think the beat battles are clear proof that not everyone is making 2 bar boom-bap beats... Lots of people out there use maschine for much more, the user base is very broad in terms of genre and complexity, theres people out there doing all kinds of crazy stuff. Assuming everyone is dumb and basic is a bit arrogant. No offense.

I'm sure those writing "2 bar boom bap" beats are very happy. Those of us who have learned the product who want to do something more complex in a more complex environment, who simply wanted a good sequencer and sampler that integrates well, have seen and documented over and over again where the product fails, who think outside the box, who have had experience with other sequencers and samplers for decades, may differ. Esp when NI says (said) they are tackling the issues and the are coming up with very little.

i complain about stuff sometimes, and sometimes i (in retrospect) post really stupid stuff that probably makes people think i am an idiot, but i do get tons and tons of stuff done with Maschine.

...yup, people's experiences may differ or they may not, if I might add (just felt adressed).

If you're experienced enough, one may also know, how to make it work in his environment. And people may know, that they can only work with the "it is" and not the "should be" or the "what if" - no matter, how angry or how correct one may be. This relation is a constant companion of using technology in general and certainly for the, still, niche market of music technology. But going through the how-to-make-it-work again, probably has a beard as long as the complaining about the same things over and over again - isn't it just getting old for both sides?

However, I simply don't think, it's appropriate to indicate you can't do complex stuff with it. It's true you can't do everything with it or, if you can, perhaps not very good or easy in certain areas. But a lot (and most likely more than the majority imagines) is possible with Maschine. A groovebox (or an instrument with sequencing abilities) isn't a DAW or a sequencer. It is - my personal should be's or what if's may differ.

And like D-One remarked, the Beat Battles are a good playground for experimentation and learning things (even before grabbing stuff). So one might wonder - yeah, shame on NI for not... - delivering!!!(?) But also - hmmm, if people here aren't trying for themselves to make it work - who's to blame?

(But maybe the OPs intention isn't such a bad idea after all, as some things - in accumulation, not necessarily a certain individual's opinion (! ;) ) - may piss some people off over time - even more than Maschine's quirks do.)

Personally, I like this forum, it's very active & useful, you get quick answers & can read interesting debates. There are 5-10 new threads every day, funny jokes and fierce discussions as well.
The "problem" with NI is they probably have a fantastic marketing team but hard-time to fully accomplish the expectations we might have - or the "promises" we might have understood from the marketing speech . Hum.
So, yeah people might complain, so what ?

I read everywhere, nowhere did I see anybody use the term "you can't do complex stuff with it". If you are looking at what I wrote, well you are either reading it wrong or cherry picking and making it into something else :)

I just agree with you in regards to complaints though - despite people are usually annoying especially on net - you cannot control others' negativity... But give you some cheers: I am f***ing crazy happy to see this awesomeness just NI spit out!! :D

For me, I get the complaints and I share a lot of them. But they get repeated so often that they get old. Especially because mainly the same people post the same complaints - that I think are known at ni at this time - over and over again. For me it brings a negative vibe at the forum, which is unpleasant.

So I get that some people complain about the complaining. Which I am probably doing right now, according to some. :)
