    THE MANUAL!

Do you realise what is happening?
We all Maschine lovers had read the manual (when we purchased Maschine) , then we eagerly read the 1,1 addendum and the learning procedure ran smoothly. (Excuse my english)

But now, we are in front of 200 of pages that contain info already implemented in our own workflows and we try to discover or learn what other people have discovered about new feautures!

    This is really annoying!

Please NI, save us some large amount of time and post an addendum. It is never too late, we can use it for reference discovering 1,5 new features

An idea is to post an addendum for beta versions and revise the whole manual as the new version leaves the beta status!

Geez. People fidn anythign to complain about. The manual is actually great. Its heads and tails better than what was there before, imo. Its more detailed and things are explained a bit more than the 1.0-1.1 manual. Stop being lazy and just take a half hour to read the thing and all will be fine.

I love that you have all the new features in one manual .. Way to Go.. If I have to look something up I go to the help then to manual, and look it up, no need to go through a bunch of addendums..to find what your looking for, later on you might have a question about something that was in 1.1 or 1.5 but not sure why bother looking all over .. As far as the new Features Look at the read me file and see the improvements and then reference the manual that simple.

I personally want to say THANK YOU for the manual being all inclusive, w/o an addendum. This is the digital age guys, use the search feature in your PDF viewer. Want to know about Grain Stretcher? Press CTRL+F (PC) or CMD+F (Mac) to open the search function. Then type in Grain Stretch. Then everything with grain stretch will be available. Likewise for SP1200 or any other attribute you wish to know about.

Another helpful tip is to use the Help tab at the top of the Screen and select the manual from there. All software manuals are located there. They will also be searchable. BTW I haven't used Windows in a while, so the Help tab might be called something else, but the tip still stands.

*Tip - Use the Read Me file included for Hot Words to find all the new content you wish to learn about.

I am not trying to be a dick either. Just trying to help out. These techniques work for all software as well.

As an aside, addendums are incredibly confusing for people other than those who have just downloaded the update. Having to file through 3 different manuals to get all the information is cumbersome and unprofessional.

Think it's sometimes good to force yourself to read back through the manual anyways... you can often pick up stuff you missed the first time round.

Thanx for the advice on how to use CMD+F and for being characterised as lazy!
If you dont know that a specific new feature exists, how could you find out? By reading all the manual again?

You probably have plenty of time, i dont.

An addendum could have some info on the new features....

So, will you read the manual again in 1,6 update?
    1,7?

Oh, imagine how productive will be to read the 2.0 manual! I cant wait to waste my time again trying to discover new features among the ones that i already use.

Yep - sorry to disagree with the poster of this thread, but I think the new manual is hands down better than the last one. More comprehensive, clearer to follow and far easier than the last incarnations. This is definitely an example of over enthusiastic fault finding...

Thanx even MORE for reading where I said to LOOK AT THE READ ME FOR THE NEW FEATURES! Then you can use that CMD+F thing you apparently already knew about. You have plenty of time to login and post, but not enough to Highlight the new features and paste into the search field. Well played!

    Also it was my pleasure:)

No but I will use the search feature and find the NEW stuff I want to know about.

I predict not very if you are already complaining about the 2.0 version.

    +1 for a 1.5 addendum, and
+1 for mute and solo automation (eh....)

Have to say though, Maschine is the greatest hardware I have ever bought for years.
It is really crazy...thank you NI!

    Yep!
Don't think there needs to be an addendum.

However, all the new features should be updated in a change log so you can reference them in the manual. Right now the list posted is incomplete so it is hard to know every new feature or change that is there.

    IM2,

You can call me rude if you want. I was trying to help in the beginning, which is useful information for those that do not know about it. I still answered your question. I NEVER called anyone lazy, YOU said that. The only person making any assumptions is you. Rude could be construed as complaining about not having an addendum or accusing others of name calling, while in fact name calling yourself.

Thank you for the Tutorial videos NI. They are excellent and concise. Again I love the full manual revision and the tutorials complement the new addition above any expectation that I might have had.

Whatever way you spin it an addendum would have been a nice time saver. Would have been good to just have a five minute scan over the new features without having to look for whats new in the beta then search for it in the new manual but whatever.
