Why there is no software controller/mixer for AK1? Please, someone tell me that it is under development! Or have I missed something?

I like to keep my hardware and wires under the table and control them through my computer. This includes guitar effects, synth modules, etc. This way I don't have to jump around a guitar on my lap when I'm making music. But now because of AK1 I have to jump around all the time to check if input signal is clipping or to adjust the input or monitor level signals. Sure I could keep the AK1 beside my laptop, but I have also other stuff on my table and why would I keep a box that has 6 wires connected to it in the middle of my table? I don't want that my table is full of wires.

And other feature that is missing from AK1 is panning of direct monitored signal. When I make guitar tracks that are panned left or right, I like to also pan the direct monitored signal accordingly when I record the track. I would like to see this feature in the software mixer, if it will ever be developed.

Software mixer of my Terratec EWS 88MT has all those features and more. If only I could use my EWS 88MT with my laptop :(

There is no control panel applet that replicates the hardware controls. Some users prefer physical knobs to control certain functions like input and monitor levels (at least I do). The other notable feature with the AK1 is the assignable MIDI knob and control buttons. If you planned to keep the AK1 stowed away and out of reach I assume then you have no use for those either. If that's the case then I'd have to say you purchased the wrong product.
