Just wondering - for those using Kore rather than the Player, wouldn't deleting koredb also delete user tags for all koresounds?

I have tried to follow all these steps and I'm still not seeing Deep Freq. fwiw, I am new to NI and I installed Kore 2.1.1 first and then added Deep Reconstructions (no problems) and then added Deep Freq on the same day and it doesn't show up. I've deleted soundpacks.cache and koredb multiple times, re-installed Deep Freq multiple times and it's still not showing up.

One thing I am uncertain about is if there is more to removing Deep Freq before I re-install? I just find the folder in the Applications and delete it, but it seems that Deep Freq folder just contains documentation. Is there anything else I should be deleting before reinstalling Deep Freq?

    Any other ideas?

One more note: The Service Center never showed any sign of wanting to activate Deep Freq. Does that give any clues as to what could be wrong?

    HI there,

i had the same Problem - on MAC , the Cache delete was my cure !

i just had a overview on this topic, so i hope this wasnt mentioned before :

what about the Reaktor deep freq Ensmebles of which the Deep-Freq Manual is talking 'bout ?

it says 4 Ensembles come with deep freq - all 4 named in the Manual - but they are not appearing ! not in the deep freq folder, nowhere on my Computer - search result =Zero

following Ensembles should be included :

    1: Sonitarium
    2.:plagiarism
    3.: Spreadbands
    4.: Modul8

are any of these Ens' installed at any of you guys ?

    Greetz

They're installed in your IE library folder. On Windows:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Reaktor\IELibrary\Ensembles\Deep Freq
    On Mac:
    Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Reaktor/IELibrary/Ensembles/Deep Freq

Ah- it's Sunday. Tech support is Monday through Friday.
Does it show in the Kore player standalone? Did you follow Marius' suggestions?

the directions seemed scattered, no it is not in the standalone. I see it activated in support center. one thing i wasn't clear was changing the file name. i could not find that I am using win xp 32 bit
    ---
i alos see the dep freg folder where the other folders are like my urban assault
    ---
this is what i did not understand or how to get there from maurices post

    system:/Users/username/AppData/Local/Native Instruments/Kore Player (or Kore 2)
    ---
I don't know what to do, i have spent all week end and wasted it on this product. I am so upset. I have deleted uninstall-ed/ installed. To no avail it will not show up . my other NI urban assault is there, i see the deep frq sound folder. I am not clear on this koredb file i have tried moving other files i think were it, the path i do not know where it is. Is this the way it is going to be using these products in the future, if so I can't see using something that causes so much hassle to make work. I am sorry for venting but I am so angry and I seem to not be able to get any help. I guess we will see what happens monday if tech support can help me
    ---
OK i got it to work i had to uncheck hidden files which allowed me to the path for the kordb file. sorry for the rant

    Hi Marius @NI

A heatwave weekend in Blighty got in the way of looking at the fix, so sorry for tardy reply!

Yes, I installed Deep Freq on old Kore version.... oops!
So moved 'koredb' to desktop and relaunched latest Kore and all presets & libraries installed no problem, many many thanks.
Old 'koredb' trashed.... RTFM probably applies here!

    Thanks for the support!

I am still unable to get this to work. It's very frustrating. Deleting koredb and SoundPacks.cache, reinstalling, etc. None of these things seem to help the matter. Is there something else I'm missing.

Are you using the latest Kore player and/or Kore version (2.1.1)? If not, they won't show up.

Yes, I'm using 2.1.1 Kore Player. I've never installed any other Kore version. I purchased Deep Reconstructions at the same time and it works great. I don't know why Deep Freq is so difficult? The only other NI product I have is Maschine.

Thanks for any input you might have,

And you've tried deleting koredb, koredbLock and SoundPacks.cache?

Yes, I just did it again to make sure. I redownloaded and reinstalled Deep Freq and deleted the entire Kore Player folder before restarting it again. Still no Deep Freq

And Deep Freq also doesn't show up in my ServiceCenter. It's as though my NI apps are refusing to recognize it?

I'm so confused and frustrated. I appreciate your help!

Deep Freq does not show up in Kore player

I just purchased ' deep frequency' soundpack for Kore player ...
problem 1 : the installer indicates that it will only install on ' intel' mac ; this means I can't install on my ( non Intel) iMac
problem 2 : when I install the soundpack on my Macbook ( intel) ... the bloody thing doesn't show up in the browser

    any help ?

    Welcome =)

    1) Correct- any new NI stuff is Intel only as far as a Mac goes. Deep Freq uses GR 4 in the patches- that's Intel only.
    2) Read Marius' posts on the first and second pages of this thread.

    Hello,

it might be that under certain circumstances there is a permission issue involved on Mac. Please try the following if deleting soundpach.cache and koredb did not help to solve the issue.

    1. Verify that you have installed the latest Kore 2 / Kore 2 Player version 2.1.1 which you can download via Service Center / Update Manager.

    2. Go to Macintosh HD / Applications / Utilities and start Disk Utility

    3. Select your system drive (Macintosh HD) on the left-hand side and choose "repair disk permissions"

    4. Afterwards quit Disk Utility and go to Macintosh HD / User / <your_username> / Library / Application Support / Native Instruments / Kore 2 or Kore Player and delete "SoundPacks.cache"

    5. Now go to Macintosh HD / Library / Application Support / Native Instruments /

    6. Select the folder and choose "Get Info" either by using the key command "command+I" or right (or control) - click on the folder. From the menu choose "Get Info"

    7. Verify that the folder permissions for "user" and "admin" (group) are set to "read and write" access. In case you don't have the admin or staff group listed there, click on the "+" button to add it manually. For detailed info on that, please note the attached screenshot "GET Info on Local Native Instruments"

    8. Once you have correct the permissions, choose "apply to enclosed items"

    9. Next, check and - if necessary - change permissions for: Macintosh HD / User / <your_username> / Library / Application Support / Native Instruments. Note the attached screenshot "Get Info on User Native Instruments"

    10. After changing / correcting permissions and deleting the "SoundPacks.cache" file, please restart Kore 2 / Kore 2 Player. The sounds should be imported correctly and should show up in the browser.

    Best regards,
