First of all, I'm not even clear when the kore software itself will be universal binary, and when it is, half of the instruments aren't scheduled to be updated until the end of the year anyways. So there's all that preset categorization and knob mapping being useless for all the those instruments which aren't universal binary.

If anyone from N.I. reads this, it would be a much stronger incentive for those of us switching to intel macs if we could actually use the instruments in komplete with kore.

Software is being ported very quickly in general, it's a shame to see half of komplete get left until a major update at the end of the year.

Kore is appealing, but I think only if you have and can use all the instruments in komplete (Not just the biggies scheduled for second quarter).

I'm a little unclear about their position on this, I guess it's just tough luck for those going intel mac, but I don't feel like they/we should be too neglected. After all, it's pushed as a great live tool. Live performers tend to use laptops. Those using macs will probably want the power of a macbook soon, especially with the layering in kore. So it seems like this is something N.I. should address quickly, no?
So hurry up with the universal binaries and I might think about kore!

    regards,
    Rob

I've seen other developers running behind on getting their programs up to date with the Intel Macs. NI is not alone on this. My understanding is that the main reason for the delay is a result of Apple not providing adequate time for developers to get their programs converted before the new Macs were launched. That said, I have no idea how difficult or time consuming it is to convert old code to code that can be compiled into a "universal binary" that runs on old and new Macs.

On the other hand, looking at the schedule it does seem like it will be a long time until all the conversions are done. My guess is a portion of the converted programs will come in the form of updated versions. Otherwise, what would the Windows KC2006 users get this year? My prediction for programs that will get new versions:

    FM7 (FM8?)
    Pro53 (Pro54?)
    Battery 3
    Vokator 2
    NI-Spektral Delay 2
