To the guy that asked me how to use Maschine inside an Ableton Drum Rack… file inside

A guy asked me a couple weeks ago how do you load up Maschine 2 inside an Ableton drum rack and route each audio channel out this is how it can be done. I personally didn't build this drum rack but just replaced the vst with the new Maschine 2.0 vst and rerouted all the channels .

I could have PMed it back to you but I thought it might be worthy of a share to the Maschine community on the forum for those folks, like me, that don't usually delve into this type of thing MIDI wise so we can learn from it and see if it fits into our ways of production..

Its really a well thought out way of doing it and most importantly you can save it as a Drum Rack and add it to you library to quickly load up at anytime unlike the Ableton groups.
Either way its just interesting to look at.

and oh yeah.. you can program it on push
and then automate the mutes live ..

You could also switch out your kits but you will have to reroute the audio tracks inside maschine.

you can midi map mutes to these switches in the drum rack on any controller or maschine hardware to record live:)

its actually the AudioModders works but Im glad to share my 2.0 conversion :p

Also it could be noted that any saved group can be loaded inside the Maschine plugin and it will retain all its routing except the audio's which is pretty easy to fix back especially on the hardware.

Thank you for this! I was using Maschine stand-alone but with this I really consider using Ableton Live in combination with the Maschine. There is just one thing: The Maschine pad sensitivity is really weird with drum rack. I wanted to record some midi notes in Live using Maschine, but the sensitivity takes away all the fun. Do you have the same experience? Is there a setting I am missing?

I haven't tried that I am using push to sequence patterns in ableton when I do.

Any chance one of you could send me a download link for this template? the original seems to be a dead link now.
This would make my workflow so much better!
