today I have bought my KONTROL X1!

I've got to rebuild my whole station to add this. I only preordered 1 of these but think I will rebuild for my station to accomodate 2. Time to sell the Kaoss Pad 3 if I like this thing.

Is there any definate confirmation on whether the rotaries could be assigned to seek through a track to set a cue point on the fly more accurately than in "jumps" - like jog-wheels are used on a lot of controllers?

It does look lovely though...

 

Damn I hate you all, Im still waiting for Djdeals answer to my order. Customer service aint that great, but the price, cant be beat. Once I get this, ill be happy with my setup... for maybe a couple of months and then upgrade again, but will be keeping the X1 lol...

 

May have to get a Kontrol X1 now and give the American Audio VMS4 serious consideration (providing the reviews and feedback look good) in April.

 

No one in America has this product yet. NI - ship em already!

djmarkian - I too had emailed djdeals but they never responded. A company that doesnt put up their phone number and doesnt respond to emails is a company I will stay away from.

 

Let's hope you have better luck than 90% of the online DJ community.

What vendor do you guys recommend in the US?...

 

I once ordered a pair of slip mats from them. (Almost positive it was them.. Was a couple years ago) Never received the mats although, I did receive a charge on my credit card from $1500+ for a plane ticket overseas. I would have been cool with either the mats or a vacation but didn't get either.

 

At least whoever scammed your card spent the money on something cool.

DJ Deals shipped to me in Australia, didn't have a problem with them although in the end didn't save that much money than buying it here (shipping was a bitch)

Not only should you scour the web for all the angry customers but look them up in Google Earth to see a location. I always attempt to contact a company before ordering online...sometimes twice.
