For fear of getting a bunch of RTFM's i gotta say: I tried reading it, I really did, but it was so outdated that it was near impossible to follow along and keep my sanity.
    so I quit.
and I gotta admit, it was pretty depressing to have bought software -yet again-
where the interface in the manual and the interface in the program dont match up.

    So on to my situation:
I'm trying to create a menu that can toggle the visibility of several different sliders and knobs and whatnot.
The rightmost pane of Carbon 2 is a really good example of what im trying to do, but with a drop-down menu instead of tabs. I've been messing with the insides of carbon for some time now trying to see exactly how those tabs work... and the truth seems to elude me, so I've come here.

in a nutshell: is there any way to have a drop-down menu select between a variety of views with different panel features?

    Tanks in advance.

check out stacked macros. use a panel index to choose which is visible.

plenty of tutorials available below that were made in the most recent version of reaktor.

yep, i've never read the manual myself, just learned thru trial and error. once you get the hang of the program the macro and module reference can be useful though.

its a useless piece of.... its like u get the edge pieces of an 80 piece jigsaw puzzle where the rest of it is the 1028 set you bought.

EDIT: im so about to get sidetracked and jump into your additive synthesis tutorial. i need me low-level knowledge :)

yes, sorry i didn't mean to imply that there is a stacked macro tutorial on the site, just that the tutorials all use the newest version of reaktor so you may find them helpful.

i could make something about stacked macros, but you could probably figure it out on your own before i finish it as i'm quite busy these days.

Am sure there is something on stacked macros in the manual?

I followed a guide on them recently (pretty sure it was built into the manual/install etc), interesting a little fiddly probably until you get used to them but certainly allows you to smarten up a complex machine.
