Anyone know of anything in Guitar Rig that can be made to sound like Tom Scholz?

Scholz signature sound is a product of double tracking and pre/post distortion eq. It is a "tubey" Marshall based tone with a filter boost between 700 and 1K. Originally he used a stuck wha pedal to produce the filtering, later replaced with graphic EQs. To get the doubling effect (outside of the studio) most use a stereo chorus effect. I have had some success with detune plus delay using various analog gear. I have not yet experimented with GR to mimic it but I bet the tools are there to get really close especially in a stereo set up. Perhaps closer than with Rockman gear.

Thank you for your reply useherneme.

My experimenting will be purely using GR and maybe a few old pedals and I will try soon with GR 2,3 and 4.

If you have any luck please let me know how! I have a feeling that something close is possible using GR and I would really really love to get that kind of sound going.

I will. One of the main reasons I bought GR. Probably a tie for my favorite guitar tone with David Gilmour. Using a computer with a guitar is really new for me but I have high hopes....
