He guys! i'm a newbie to traktor kontrollers and i'm having a hard time figuring out what it really does! some videos on youtube gave me the sense it's a mixer and some that it's for effects and/or live improvising. So to sum up my question would be the following... my current set up consists of a DJM750mk2 and two XDJ1000mk2... will a traktor kontrol F1 add value to my sets? or will it offer me functions i already have on my set up?

any info or tips on this is greatly appreciated!

The F1 will allow you to control remix decks to start samples or little loops or capture a loop from a track deck and have it run under an other track.
Or you can map a F1 to control the FX units. This will give you instant access to pre-programmed effects and effect chains.
But only can decided if an F1 is adding value to your setup.

Thanks for the input! what i mean by "add value" is offer me something I can't do with my current setup, from what i read it doesn't, I already have access to loops and FX. The F1 does allow me though to use 4 effects at the same time!!

I do not know the ins and outs from your setup but how do you control the remix decks with your current setup?

true! sorry to be such a newb but by remix decks you mean the XDJs? The loops I control them in the same XDJ cause it has a function for it, if i want the loop under another song I work it with the EQs in the mixer while both volume faders are up, and the FXs are controlled from the mixer.

Maybe you should look into all the functions Traktor Pro 3 and a F1 have and what remix decks actually are. With 2 XDJ's you can control 2 track decks (A & B) in Traktor. A F1 will aloow you to control 1 or 2 extra remix decks (C & D). The loops on a F1 are not the same as the loops you control and play on a XDJ.

Did the research! remix decks are way different than track decks and the F1 gives you great options to play around and u can do live stuff and create songs, also the stems things is pretty cool, much better than just cutting completely an EQ. All in all great machine the F1 definitely an awesome add on controller. Couple of questions though, where can I download remix stuff (loops and one shots)?, I saw that some are free in the traktor site. And where can I download tracks on stem files?

What are your thoughts on the X1? I feel that one is more focused on having cool effects, am I right? or near right at least hahahaha

Thanks for all the tips so far!!
