Is it possible to control traktor via touch screen using windows 7?

currently i use a xone2d as a controller and external soundcard, i use my ipod as external harddisk. It all works fine i have been using it for a year and a half now and its only crashed 3 or 4 times (once live, which was crap - but then my records used to jump occationally and my cdr's used to skip as well.....). This setup works well but its a pain turning up to venues where there is limited space to setup and then plug all 8 audio outs into there mixers.

I am a musician 1st and my computer knowledge is poor. it took me the best part of a week to set my 2d up with my laptop! i was advised by my friends who actually know something about computers to use external harddisk/soundcard to make it more crashproof but using it at home in bed a good while using just my laptop as harddisk and controller it seems fine.

could i use just a laptop and i pod and use the touchscreen as a controller? can you get laptops which have a soundcard with two outs so i could run one for pfl/cueing and one for master out? this might sound 'a bit blonde' but i really have no idea about computers. i know how to run certain software and thats it.

Like i said i am not computer literate so please dont reply with loads of complex computer speak as it will mean nothing to me. If i had the right laptop would this be possible or have i completely missed something here?

    thanks for your time people.

you may be able to use the ipod as a touch screen controller but i'm not sure (similiar to the iphone app that is available)

But you won't find a laptop with a decent soundcard built into it for mixing.

I think with the right screen (laptop touchscreen or external touchscreen connected through USB) you can get multitouch in windows 7. But!...is Traktor capable of understanding multitouch? If not, you can settle with Windows XP which should be capable of singletouch. Let me know if you find out :)

I don't like laptopsolution but instead wondering about external screen just behind mixer & midicontrols (Traktor Kontrol X1) completed with real vinyl or cd for safety.
A dedicated pc in some type of case would be easier to repair or uppgrade.
    I have so far found:
    Dell SX2210T 21.5"W Multi-Touch Monitor
wide resolution 1920 = more space for fx panels and browserinfo
widescreen modell = more streamlined behind mixer
TN type of screen is not the best though if beeing picky, and it has a bulky frame to handle the optical multitouch sensors so i'm wondering about the real use if having good miditools already.

Laptops with more than a single stereo-output is rare. I think one of now discontinued big/wide(20" screen!) modells from HP HDX series had multichanel otputs (dolby dts?).
