    hey!

downloaded and installed 1.2.1 and it messed up all of my midi mappings for emample, my left jogwheel on my reloop digital jockey interface edition, does not work properly, also my korg nanopad lost all its mappins. i dont really gain that much from the update, or in other words, the pros. don't weigh up the cons. i wish to downgrade to 1.1 and my old settings and mappings, is there a way to so?

i tried using the backup i've mad of the .tsi but when i start traktor it says something like "traktor has updated you settings and made a backup..."

i'm using windows. will restoring to an earlier date solve the problem?

    thanks!

1.2.1 midi controller settings import problems AND led issue

I've experienced a similar problem and managed to recover my old settings in working order. Some issues exist, one is explained at the bottom of this message.

    SUMMARY SOLUTION

    1. Ensure you can find your old tsi settings
    2. Backup all unnecessary tsi's from the preset dropdown in a non-Traktor location
    3. Delete all unnecessary tsi's from the preset dropdown list in Traktor
    4. Import your old tsi
    5. Rename it
    6. Check that it's working and selected by default
    7. If not, replace tsi's using your backed-up copies and wait for someone more informed to tell us the answer ;-)

    DETAILS

The error message upon rebooting following the update is standard I believe, i.e. it's Traktor's way of saying, 'Don't worry, your old setup is still saved somewhere'.

However, the default midi controller settings produce conflicts unless one of the presets matches your physical controller, which in my case is a Vestax VCM-600 (not one of the presets unfortunately).

None were suitable of the generic midi presets (from the dropdown list presented at the top of the midi controller settings page), so I tried importing my old tsi:
    (Add... > old tsi filename)
This worked OK for while until I tried tweaking the settings to allow for the new fx units. Then the problems started.

Firstly I couldn't get the tweaks to stay in my old tsi and found that to save them I had to Export the settings and overwrite the existing file.

Even doing this strange things began to happen, e.g. LEDs not working; rotary faders operating more than one parameter etc.

Finally, I considered that the multiple tsi presets might be causing an issue, so I backed-up then deleted all of them until only the generic midi controller setting that corresponded to my old tsi was left. I renamed the setting and now it is selected by default each time I open Traktor.

    MY ISSUE :-(

My problem now is to add new functions to my controller settings to control the new fx units and specifically to add LEDs to buttons.

In 1.2.1 it does not seem possible to attribute an LED output to a given button, because the controller type selection is greyed out until a button/slider is actually assigned. Previously, one simply duplicated the desired control setting, then changed the output type to LED, so that clicking a button performed the first action, as well as lighting up the corresponding LED.

If anyone can better explain why my workaround above works or why the tweaking to get LEDs doesn't...any ideas would be appreciated!
