New TP 3.5. Preview Player Latency/Loading

Hi,

i recently updated to TP 3.5. on MAC OS Catalina. I use a S4 MK 3 in combination with it. Today after using it for the 1st time, i experienced a latency issue using the preview player. When loading in a track through the controller it shows "loading" for a sec before i hear the track. It used to work seamlessly in Version 3.4.1

Anybody else has this issue too?

It seems i've skipped Version 3.4.2. Is it worth trying?

Sorry for the delay. We might have the beginning of an explanation there.
Would you be kind enough to check if this problem happens also with .wav or .flac files if you have some ?
Is there any significative difference between mp3/mp4 and wav/flac files when you try to load them into the preview player ?

meanwhile I have spoken to Ryan from the NI Support (Ticket #2631297). He recommended i install Version 3.4.2. I have done so and it seems to work fine. Therefore i don't have 3.5 on my system for now.

As for ur question, I don't have any flac or wav files in my library. I only use mp3/mp4 files.
Were u able to recreate the bug? Is this something that has to/will be fixed in the future?

The bug persists in Version 3.5.1. Is this issue being treated in the near future?

 

Upgrading from 3.4.1 to 3.5.1 I can confirm there's an increased latency in preview player loading tracks around 1-3 seconds. Given it used to be seamless this is experienced as a regression

I run Traktor on macOS Mojave 10.14.6 (18G4032)
There's no issue in latency for FLAC and AIFF files, seems to be related to MP3 files only

 

I confirm that the issue is in win 11 too. Only tried in .mp3

 

I confirm that any track loaded to the Deck or Preview player began to hang for a few seconds. No delay if you load the same track a second time. This was not the case before the update 3.4 > 3.5.

Previously, the delay was only when loading large two-hour mixes.

It also seemed to me that loading the tracks of the collection began to take longer than in version 3.4 (38,000 tracks in the collection)

By the way, I have a hard drive, not an SSD. Macbook Pro 13" mid2012 16gb RAM
