TP S4 Mapping for Xone DX?

I am new to this site so please forgive some of my ignorance on this site's structure - I've searched but have only found mapping for Traktor Pro but not Traktor Pro S4 version.

So if someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I am looking for Mapping for Traktor Pro S4 version for the XoneX for testing purposes.

I don't think anyone will have a complete mapping for other controllers yet, but you could be the first one.

(just kidding--good luck with your mapping, OP. i'll have to 2nd that there are likely no existing mappings out there so it's gonna be an entrepreneurial activity.)

 

If you have the S4 you probably know by now that it doesn't make any real sense to use the DX with it.

Wait, are you using a cracked version?

 

The "regular" mappings for the Xone Dx and Traktor Pro (like what you can find in the Traktor Bible) pretty much have all the controls covered for the S4. However, I was going to work on improving some mappings for the DX / S4 so that I can control the sample decks (using the hot cue buttons as I don't "hot cue juggle" really ever and don't have a need for them).

Yes, I have both units. I got Traktor S4 today and have decided that I like the DX hardware much better. So I'm going to see if I can get it mapped good enough to keep it. Otherwise, I'll just count my losses and go back to regular Traktor Pro with the DX. I was going to sell the DX, now I'd prefer to sell the S4.

I just set it up moments ago, but I'm having one [major] problem: I can't get sound to come out of the headphones! As the S4 version of Traktor no longer has a little volume icon that you can control with a mouse, I have no idea how you control the volume. I've looked all through the settings and see nothing. My conclusion thus far is that NI either didn't think about "what if" someone wanted to use another controller for their software, or that they did it on purpose so that people like me who prefer a different controller are stuck.

Thoughts? Anyone else having this problem? If someone happens to have both, try hooking up your DX, loading your regular TSI file and see what happens...

 

Maybe NI thought that every user with S4 already has a controller.
But you can easily make a mapping i think.
