OK, I was wondering if anybody with TP1/TP2 dual installations would be willing to give this 5 minutes and check if what I'm getting is correct.

Start with TP1, load a track and set the Reverb in Advanced Mode, or Single as it is named now. Set the parameter knobs, from left to right, 7 o'clock/5 o'clock/5 o'clock, Wet/Dry at 12 and FRZ engaged. I attached a picture of this.

Now play the track and then activate Reverb. The track will still play but the audio will freeze. But also a Reverb wet signal will continue to trail and fade out over the next 5 to 10 seconds.

Now do the same with TP2. What do you get? Do you still get the Reverb wet signal trailing for a bit, or does the audio just stop when you activate Reverb?

I get the latter, the audio just stops, as if I hit pause, making reverb completely unusable to me. I'm trying to figure out if this is a bug in TP2, or if this is the way it has been redesigned. This is an invaluable feature to me, and cannot do without it. I hope it's a bug, 'cause like that I can't upgrade.

Hey there - Just tested this in TSP2... no sound as soon as i turn it on... :/
edit- A quick "fix" is to leave the freeze off, quickly turn on the effect and immediately turn on freeze.
    Any use?

    Ah thanx Kvikindi.

Tried that, but doesn't always work, sometimes you push the one and not the other, or your timing is out, basically ruining the mix.

I found this error in ALL the reverbs currently in TP2, which is why I'm wondering what the deal is. This would be a huge bummer for my workflow.
    :S

Can any mods please comment on this. If this is a bug I'd like to push it.

I am having this same issue. I turn the d/w on and the frz on so all I have to do is simply turn the effect on in the deck. In TP1 is just creates a trailing reverb effect as the audio fades. However in TP2 it just stops the audio. Sometimes, and very rarely it'll work like it does in TP1. Is this a bug or what? Am I doing something wrong here?

Man I think this is either a bug, or they programmed it to be this way, but I more suspect the former. Reason being it's not just Reverb that is affected. The new Tape Delay effect does the same thing, as does Iceverb, as well as Reverb T3. Reverb T3 work perfectly fine in Traktor3 and TP1. Delay and Ramp Delay seem unaffected.

NI, could you please resolve this issue, this is really basic stuff. Reverb is a really basic mixing/performance tool. And it doesn't work properly. I thought TP2 was beta tested. I would buy TP2 is this stupid error gets fixed, because I simply can't work without it, I rely on my Reverb too much.

At first i couldn't reproduce this bug (or feature) because your description isn't really accurate. I thought that when you said "activate Reverb" you meant "turn Reverb on" but obviously you meant "activate the fx slot that reverb is in". I normally don't do this, I usually activate my slots before I turn on the effect.

But I tried this in TP1 and see your point now. This behavior should be fixed.

I assumed that people reading this thread will assume that obviously you would need to route an FX slot to a track deck you are using to test this, ie FX Select 1/2/3/4 on the relevant deck.

With that in mind, when I stated "Activate" the Reverb, I meant 'Switch on' the Reverb. More precise I probably could've said switch on the relevant FX slot, but because Reverb is loaded into the slot, for the purpose of this test I merely referred to it as Reverb Unit.

Sorry if I was a tad unclear, hope that makes more sense now.

    Ahoi!
