This is also posted in the Maschine forum but I need TPro and Xone 4D user help as well. Any help at all would be really appreciated.

Right, made some temporary progress on this. Thanks to everyone who has helped so far, I'm not done with you yet. I feel like proper filthy slut posting so many topics to try and solve this problem.

I thought that Maschine on the laptop did not know where the midi signal was coming from, because I could not see the Xone 4D in the midi in section of Maschine. I therefore decided to download the drivers for the Xone 4D onto that Mac. I then restarted the Mac and then Maschine was sync'd to TPro.

I do not know how I triggered Maschine to play when sync'd to TPro. I also was unable to sync the beats to stay sync'd due to slight drift - is this becasue I actually have 2 midi outs from the 4D? One bpm midi out from TPro and then another midi out from the bpm counter on the Xone 4D?

Does TPro send the bpm midi signal through the Xone 4D bpm clock or just simpy out through the midi of the 4D?

When I re-opened Maschine I was unable to get it to sync to TPro again. Mind boggling!

Ideas or suggestions? Going to post this on the TPro or Maschine forum section as well to try and get help here.

Right, I have this figured out.

It is not possible to sync Maschine directly to a Xone 4D running TPro. I think it is becasue the Xone 4D has it's own Midi output and it it not the same as the TPro midi out.

Sorted. Took me f'n ages to figure this out. But worth every minute!

I played around with it a little bit and its a bummer that Machine has issues when syncing up to the 4D. It acts a little Flaky and gets off beat. It might have something to do with the 4D having to manually detect the BPM in order to set the MIDI Clock and the MIDI Clock needs to hit exactly on the beats from Traktor. This makes it a pain when using time code B/C if the records stop, Maschine has nothing to sync up too. Say the track I was playing ran out and I had a beat playing on Maschine synced to my Traktor set, then I wanted to beatmatch an incoming record. Machine would go bezerk trying to sync up to me cueing the incoming record. The only work around would be to let the other record play after the track ended to provide a constant tempo for Maschine.

Maybe N.I will come up with a solution for this?
