tr-8

Is it possible to use the Roland aira tr-8 with traktor pro (sync midi clock)?

So for example I use deck a and deck b with my kontrol x1

Deck c or d I would like to use for live input of the tr-8

Did you manage to sync the TR8 in Traktor already? I am using the NI S2 as a Traktor controller but I can't sync te Aira into traktor.
Please help..

this helped me

 

Midi cable's connected from S8 (out) to TR-8 (in)
TR-8's clock source is in it's default 'auto'
Midi Clock setting in Traktor has been set to 'Send Midi clock
Traktor's connected to S8 (USB)
But Traktor does not recognise the TR-8 in the device's Out-port (in Preferences\Controller Manager)

So I can't sync via midi between S8 and TR-8

Any ideas or advice?

 

Unfortunately it did not really help me. Do I or do I not need a mini interface (such as A10)? Because I was under the impressium that I could riectly link it to my S4 MK2.

 

Nope, I just read along in the discussion and hope that someone comes with an answer that helps us both out

 

I can't work it out. The midi cables work elsewhere and the TR-8 doesn't have problems with other midi connections. Maybe the midi out on my S8 is screwed up, but who knows...

 

I have the same issue! Any solutions yet?

 

For me the NI S4 syncs perfectly with my TB-03, but for some reason I can not find the settings to get the sound out of my TB-03 into one of my Traktor decks... Anybody?

i have read that this can be done , and in fact there are a lot videos which may help you on youtube ( search results: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=traktor+and+tr-8 )

however, i've seen traktor 2 used with Aita mx-1 successfully and may consider this an option to try as i am struggling to get allen & heath xone 1d to work with it.

yeh, dj software and drum-machines is such an obvious way to go!

do you want to have the traktor clocked to tr-8? or tr-8 leading traktor?

also, although it does save lot's of time to do other creative things, do remember that, for example, ritchie hawtin (plastickman) hardly had anything synced to anything, live, and just manually brought things in on headphones then faded up when it sounded right.
it's the ears that tell you!
