    Hi,

Last week I buy traktor pro and I try it with my computer and my external hardisk.
I have a external hardisk with 1000 go of music. The problem is I import all the hardisk song in Track Collection and after a moment traktor bug and close.

It is because I import to many tracks? I import the hardisk for find the tracks directly in traktor (tracks are separeted with folders on the external hardisk). My computer specs are good (LG Laptop R510 Core 2 Duo, 2GHz, 4Go memory)

Do you already have this problem or how I should work ?

    Welcome to the forum!

Your LG R510 uses an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 processor. That processor was mainstream/average when it was released in Jan. '09 (over four years ago). IMO, your computer specs aren't good. You're close to Traktor's minimum system requirements.

I assume 1000 "go" is a typo. Do you really mean 1000 GB (= 1 TB)?

How is your external drive connected? USB 2.0? USB 2.0 could be a bottleneck.

How many tracks do you have? 1000 GB could be a lot (assuming tracks are MP3) or it could be just 20,000 tracks (assuming all tracks are WAV or AIFF). I believe Traktor supports collections of up to 100,000 tracks.

Have you upgraded to the latest Traktor version (2.6.1)?

your computer specs are just meeting the minimum specs, but anyways - that's not the problem.
not sure what caused traktor to close, but on the other hand, 1000 gb (if that's what you meant) is VERY much. i would import that in smaller chunks.

what are your computer specs? what exact traktor version are you using?

edit: @malzfreund: aaahh... hitting in the same direction, hahaha

Yeah a external hardisk of 1 TB full of music many are in good quality, but the hardisk have some over data but its more music than other things and some video.

I upgrade always the software im at the 2.6.1 . Traktor Collection support up to 100 000  maybe its the pc specs who dont like my big external hardisk. I find a way to stop this bug but this is not good to work this way: Always clean my track collection and make some playlist of my music and one for the asked songs of people.

I make a playlist empty where I shearch track from my browser with windows 7 on the hardisk and I import the tracsk in that playlist one by one but its very long...

Maybe I should change the pc and buy a mac pro. But for the moment its not possible I only mixe for three time and I start to mixing...
