    hello all,

i have quite a large music collection and i have noticed traktor does not import it all.

Any suggestions on how to work out what its not importing?

    thanks

If you click Explorer on the left (instead of Track Collection), then go to the folder(s) where your music is in the tree, you can see if tracks have been imported into your collection yet (there's a square icon next to them on the left, also will show an import date).. You can right-click on folders in the tree, and click analyze, and it will import/analyze the whole folder.. But beware if some have already been imported, you will then have duplicates in the collection.. You could technically fix this after w/ a consistency check, but it's better to not have to do that IMO.

that's not true - you only get duplicates if traktor sees them as different files, e.g. because you changed the filename.

Fair enough. When I 1st started using Traktor, I was very unorganized w/ importing, and had doubles/triples for many songs, sometimes w/ red X's after trying to load. It was such a mess I just deleted the entire collection and made sure I was only importing my tracks once.

hence it's a good idea to define one (or more) music folders in traktors preferences and choose "import music folders on startup" - the tracks you put fresh into that folder get imported, but no duplicates (unless you have actually the track twice in 2 subfolders, or renamed the file and such).
