Trackor delete Serato hotcue

i use traktor & serato (on macbook with last version of serato ena last version of traktor)
only on the m4a format (itunes) i have this problem
when i add a cue point in traktor on a tune when i open the same tune in serato i have lost all my cue poins

with mp3 every thing works good

 

traktor and serato are different software, if traktor is causing some kind of problem for serato, N.I. cannot give you support on this since this is a place for traktor and not a place for serato.

Personally I don't recomend using m4a. I have never used it and i don't think i ever will and I have heard many bad things about m4a in regards to traktor

 

is traktror that delete all serato information of the tune

 

like i said if traktor causes problems for serato then N.I. cannot help you, N.I. is not the serato developer.

 

i think if is traktor that modify the file in a unrequested way (deleting some information stored in the file) the porblem is in traktor .. and only traktor can solve it

i think is bug becoause this don't happen in mp3 format

.. so i'm going to sell my s2 controller and audio 6 becouse i can't destroy my serato library every time i use it...

 

Or you could use mp3 instead .
You already said it doesn't have the problem so there's the resolution.

Serato is actually writing a nonstandard aspect that Traktor can't understand thus the reason for deletion.

Remember m4a has advantages when dealing in video + audio which means Serato is probably writing with regard to Serato Video so it's not smart to use it for cross platform work.

However if you want to go straight Serato and bail on Traktor more power to you.

 

i can't go to mp3... in the conversion lose all my cue .. and audio quality too...

 

Nothing wrong with 320k mp3s and the point was to stop using the m4a format since it's the problem.

The real importance to you seems to be Serato and m4a so leaving Traktor is probably best.

Since this is a Traktor forum you are posting in most would have thought Traktor was important to you.
