hey just wondering if any one has had this problem, i beatgrid a track and lock it but some times when i re open traktor or move the file to a different folder it needs to be re-done as it forgets the beatgrid, any ideas why this happens

use traktors track collection. load tracks from there, not from below the explorer node.

I notice this happening some of the time but not others. Are there specific conditions in which Traktor loses beatgrids and ratings when the files are removed and then added to the collection again?

(I have too much music to keep everything in the track collection at all times; my system slows to a crawl.)

Traktor stores this info in 2 places.

    1. In the traktor collection file.
    2. In the actual music file itself.

Traktor can only put the info in the track (Case 2) if the file is not write protected. Either the file itself is readonly, the folder it is in is readonly, or the whole filesystem is readonly. eg NTFS on a mac.

If traktor cannot store the info in the file for any of the above reasons then it only gets stored in the traktor collection file. If you then remove the file from your collection and then re-import it the info is lost. Make sure all your files are writable.
