Tracktor scratch pro 2 deck is locked?

Hi guys,
I have had a problem that seems to occur randomly, it is that when i try to load a track onto a deck that i have just been using, it says deck locked. please stop track to load deck. even though the track is stopped? restarting tracktor solves it but i can't do this mid-set. Does anyone know what causes this. I am using a Kontrol s4 on my HP pavilion, could be the s4 or software i'm not sure.

Just uncheck "Only load into a stopped deck" in the settings (I think its somewhere in Loading section). Once unchecked, you will not get this message any longer and will be able to load into the playing deck..
It may happen when this option is enabled and even the track is stopped, its moving using the jog etc...

I'm having the same issue! I think its a traktor issue not a device issue. I was prepping tracks without any soundcard, just my laptop and a deck frozen on me.

I thought it might have been my DJM900 or my needles but I think its a issue with traktor itself. How do you let them know? I'm new to the forum.

 

I JUST posted on this issue. It is a Traktor issue and not hardware. Yeah, I know you can change the setting for track loading, but it's a still a nuisance.

 

An issue like this was posted in the 2.7.2 beta thread other have confirmed it.

What version are you having this issue on?

I would recommend you role back to 2.6.8. Maybe open a support ticket.

 

I see no need to roll back so far - especially since there is a simple work around for now (Settings/Loading/*uncheck* only load into stopped deck).

It seems this very old bug is still not solved in Traktor 3? Just digging up this old post to hear: was this also always in deck A?

Why is it so difficult for NI to fix this bug? It cannot be so hard to find the current state a deck is in can it?
