Any thoughts on how export Rekordbox in to TDJ collection? Maybe you can write a script for that too?

I do not plan currently to make a Traktor <> Recordbox converter, my next planned Project is maybe a transfer between TDJ and DJ Player Pro. Both are great iOS DJ apps, and it would be amazing to Transfer cues between, i cant promise right now, but i will follow up if have some free time.

But maybe good news to you: There is already some work ongoing ideas in the community between Recordbox and Traktor. If you use a Mac you could check "Rekord Buddy" (currently 2.0 under beta), the application tranfers between Traktor an Recordbox (in both directions), see here: http://next.audio/

RekordBuddy seems cool, but i don`t really understand how could be beta version paid. Anyway signed fo for beta testers.
Cross DJ Pro is too expensive to use it as Traktor -> Rekordbox converter only

 

Hi. I get stuck here loading for ages.

I want to transfer my hotcues/grids from Traktor pro collection to Traktor dj collection.

Note my Traktor pro collection is bigger than the collection in Traktor dj.

What am i doing wrong ?

 

you don't do anything wrong , that's totally ok. Traktor Pro collection are mostly bigger in size (reason: different syntax, playlists etc ..), doesn't matter at all.TraCoMerger transfer only the information which is needed into the new collection (and only for these songs which are named in both collections), and write in correct TDJ syntax. Take away: the syntax (and count of songs) of the new created collection depends only from first file (TDJ in your example). Also the new TDJ collection could be bigger in size then before, because new cues are included. Don't worry about size, it's all ok.

I will never build a 'wine specific' version, i don't own a Mac .. maybe my fault so i cant test wine even. Hint: maybe there is a option in wine to simulate or install a NET framework, each modern Windows has NET included, maybe wine do not offer this, no idea. Maybe you could check the web how to implement Windows NET in wine. Then .. I am quite sure .. TraCoMerger would work. See more details in FAQ of TraCoMerger, NET 4.0 or higher is needed.

 

Doesn't work on my win xp (on parallels) even after updating net to 4.0.
Do you know if the nml files are compatible in general?
So alternatively I could then just replace the nml file on the other device every time i made some changes. not very comfortable but tomorrow i am leaving for my holiday and it would be cool to take the iPad and a couple of new tracks, add the nml from my os x tractor and have all old tracks tagged already.
when coming back i could then take the nml from my iOS and import it to my traktor so i have all the cue points for the new stuff.
hope this works. my iPad 4 takes ages to analyze all the tracks i upped

let's fix your issue after your holiday, will need some time the nml of TDJ or Traktor Pro are not compatible at all, you can not copy them only, thats why TraCoMerger exists

Many XP versions struggle, not longer supported from MS and the .NET is not up2 date or uncomplete. Win 7 works perfect. i will send you a private conversation to follow up

Thankfully there are Guys and Gals like Kalo, who take actions.
I'll be looking forward to work with this solution.

Even i did not upload new versions some times ago, i still work on my little 'TraCo ... toolkits', I will upload some more news in near future

Does this all still work with the new updates? I haven't used Traktor DJ in a while as it was crashing all the time but since iOS 10 and the new Traktor DJ update I'm hoping to give it another try hence Ive lots of Traktor pro cues to transfer :-D

 

Hi ... i still use older versions of TDJ, but i am quite sure the new TDJ version should work well, it was a bugfixing release only, and iOS version doesn't matter ... so Let's test it, use the latest 1.4 version of TraCoMerger.

Anybody looked into this Wine (Mac) issue. And got it working?
I love ur app Kalo. But it would have been so much better to have it on my DJ Macbook. For coveniece and be able to prep tracks on my Ipad and then merge the metadata to Traktor pro.

 

@JayDizzle: thx ... I do not own a Mac so couldn't validate Wine by myself. It should work in Wine IF you install the .NET framework in Wine first. Background: NET is a part of Windows7 but not included in Wine. It seems to be somehow tricky to install NET in Wine, but you will find instructions in Internet how to install Net 4.0 sucessfully in Wine. If you interested to test, send my a direct post, then i could try to support you.

What works for sure (got confirmed from some user already): having any Windows in Mac bootmanager or maybe easier: using any VM Ware for Windows on Mac.

 

fyi: I updated my other application TraCoConverter, there is no need to update the TraCoMerger, the current 1.4 works well together with new TraCoConverter.

In case any Mac user did a successfull .NET framework in Mac Wine, then please let us know.
Would be great to instruct the community how to get TraCoMerger running on Mac
