Uhhhhmmm PCDJ Scratch.... definitely!!!! Its the perfect solution, It slices it dices, it whips chips snips and clips. It subnets and browses, as a word processor it's the best around AND you can can even use it to DJ.... what a novel concept???!!!!!

Jeez, not to be a prick or nuffin' but stop and think about it for just a sec would ya? You come to a product specific forum and ask which is better, the product we have voluntarily chosen, or a competitive product? Apart from the fact you have given us no info as to what you play etc, do you think the majority of the squad here would actually be here if we thought PCDJ was better?

So lets start again... ;) can you let us know what kind of toons you play, do you want to beatmatch, scratch or whatever... stuff like that?. It will help us and then we can get you the answers you need.

OK somewhere to start from. I can't speak from any real experience with respect to PCDJ but the consesus you will mostly find here is that Traktor DJ Studio as a tool for beatmatching is 'The S#!t'. It is less good for scratching but with the liberal application of a DM2 and Corporations scratch skills here you can most definitely scratch up a fine storm. Traktor 2.6 / Final Scratch has a seperate forum and is THE tool if you want to spin MP3's using conventiaonal turntables as the control medium. So from all this you should understand several things

We make a pretty big distinction here between Traktor Studio and Traktor 2.6 Final scratch

We also see distinct differences bought on by hardware limitations between Scratch and BeatMatch DJ styles.

Most, but certainly not all people here BeatMatch.
What do we think is best? Obviously Traktor! If I thought PCDJ or Serato or anything else was better I would be there now. It ain't so I isn't. Certainly Traktor has its issues, but compared to other applications Traktor still has the edge well and truly in my books!

    Trakor or PCDJ Scratch

Trakor it is. Does PCDJ Scratch has a Breakout box like FS? It doesn't mention it on there website. How does the turntables hook up. Thanx Everyone for the decision making. Tired of carrying crates of records to giggs

    Re: Trakor or PCDJ Scratch

For PCDJ Scratch 2 you have to have a individual soundcard for each turntable/input. So two decent sound soundcards + software purcahse is right around how much FS2 is. Plus the PCDJ software sucks ass.
